List of Florida Cancer Specialists And Research Institute's Reviews
If I could give them ZERO stars I would. They have had class action lawsuits and alleged illegal conspiracy because they worship money above everything especially their patients. They have had to pay out while not admitting guilt like all large conglomerate crooks get away with. If you want good care go to Moffitt.
I dont think their are enough words to describe the hurt in my heart that Florida Cancer Specialists and Doctor Matthew Fink have caused my family. My father was diagnosed with Stage 4 Small Cell carcinoma lung cancer July of 2020. From that point on it was the Worst time of my life. My father was constantly in and out of the hospital which was heartbreaking to me. My father went from 260 pounds to 150 at time of his death and all the excuses in the world were given to not help him. After being told after failed approved treatments that he would be eligible for a clinical trail but to wait a month and then being told that because he was on steroids that Dr. Fink had given to him that he would not be able to do it. My dad was in St. Josephs Van Dyke for 8 Days and DR. Fink only saw him once no other communication. My dad passed away April 24th 2021 and the only phone call we got was to Reschedule his radiation appointment with Dr. Scott.. It is now almost 3 months since his passing and still nothing from Dr. Finks office not even a Phone call to check to see how his family is doing as we are all trying to make sense of all of this. Dr. Fink thank you for Acting like you cared and thanks for giving us a false hope of survival.
Florida Cancer Specialists in Palm Beach Gardens Dr Smuklers office is a DISASTER. Staff will not return phone calls nor provide medical records for patients for referrals despite sending the appropriate medical power of attorney and making multiple phone calls to staff and Jennifer in medical records to follow up. They should be ASHAMED of their unprofessional behavior for making the seamless care of a frail elder who moved out of state impossible. I plan to report them to the Florida Board of Medicine and the Palm Beach Medical Society. FOR SHAME Do NOT use this office ever.
Assembly Line Cancer Treatment with Aggressive financial agents who send collections calls to their patients who are in the middle of receiving chemotherapy. They spend a huge amount of money on advertising to sell fake compassion for financial gain. Very unorganized dismissive of symptoms of permanent dangerousdeadly side effects of chemotherapy. Blame patient deny responsibility with condensation medical rhetoric. Very often they Do Not return phone calls it is almost impossible to get a human on the phone. Be prepared to be on hold for a long time disconnected. Some doctors nurses very kind dedicated but the ultimate goal of this business is to make money off cancer. This business has major control over cancer treatment industry in Florida and has been fined 100 million dollars by the federal government for not allowing other options to their patients. Do yourself a favor go somewhere else if you have cancer
I worked for Florida Cancer for 6 years. Nov 17th 2019 I was diagnosed with stage 4 terminal colon cancer. I was going through chemotherapy and had 5 surgeries. was very sick.I was sitting in a chemo chair when I got an email I was fired and my insurance terminated that very same day. I told my oncologist APRN what had happened. keep in mind they had already put the needle in my port for chemotherapy for that day. then the Dr came out on the chemo floor and told the nurse to remove the chemo needle that I could not get chemo that I had to leave because I had no insurance. have you ever heard of such awful customer service. From a company who makes millions. when I know for a fact that the drug companies have whats called compassionate drugs for people who have lost there ins. they never even offered to help me with paperwork for financial help. they basically kicked me out there door. please choose your cancer office wisely. and one that works for you not against you. it was an embarrassing day because this all happened in front of all the other patients.
FCS is definitely in it for the money and not patient care. FYI my experience is precovid. They herd you in and they herd you out. It is obvious that the staff is overworked and stressed from the front staff to the nurses and doctors. The facilities were often dirty. Cleaning only took place after closing. Even the nurses complained about it. Bathrooms were often nasty and when you are having chemo you need to use them often. The facilities simply cannot handle the number of patients that are coming through each day. The front desk staff while obviously overworked are snippy and short with patients. You dare not ask questions. Appointments are apparently suggestions. It was not unusual to wait 2 or more hours for treatment or to see the doctor and often it was standing room only. With covid and not being able to have a guest that may be different but still. Seriously? You dont feel good anyway. In fact they just herd you from one waiting room to another. I had a serious reaction one day and already going in for blood work asked to see someone. I was told that wasnt possible. Now I will admit when I told my doctor that next visit he was visibly upset and said it shouldnt have happened. But it already had. I wasnt told till my third chemo about the patient portal either. Communication breakdown. I am also wondering about the weekly bloodwork I was required to do which the other two oncology clinics I have been to do not require. Another way to bilk the system for money I imagine. But it overloads an already strained system. One day when my counts were low the nurse even said there wasnt anything to do about it so just be extra careful. Exposing myself by being there was more dangerous than just staying home. Id say that the majority of issues are with corporate trying to see more patients than feasible.
Dr.Merchant and his asst.Katie are the bestas well as all the nurses.
Poor scheduling and communication pertaining to same.
Everyone is caring from the office personnel to the doctors. Couldn’t ask for better.
Stupid ass ins person in this office

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
