Best doctor I've ever met!!

Do not see Dr. Lackey for the treatment of external hemorrhoids. My mother has spent the last three months in pain and discomfort. He performed two colonoscopies in the past three months and says there's nothing else he can do. Just offered her home remedies that have alleviated her pain very slightly, but she needs more than just that. She has lost more than 40 pounds because she cannot eat since her stomach is full, since she can't get off the waste that's blocked by her swollen hemorrhoids. I'm currently looking for another specialist that can resolve this issue.

I sit here now, going in for surgery AGAIN, to fix the surgery Dr. Lackey did TEN YEARS AGO. I would NOT reccomend him as a surgeon!! Afer a couple of years, with I found a world class gastro surgeon. It was then, that I realized how poorly Dr. Lakey and his SEVERAL surgeries were handled. I went in for a bowel resection- which I was told by my (later) doctor, was NOT needed, they should have just put in a stent. Insead of stent and going home, I had TWO different Colostomy bags, SEVERAL operations, he "nicked" my bladder, and I had issues with that for a couple of YEARS. He was such a NICE man, smiling, personalble, but, he was not skilled with my surgeries. I"ve lost my 401K to medical bills, had surgeries several times to FIX what should not have happened. Just pray before choosing a surgeon. Oh, I was also 265 pounds at the time of surgery. AT LEAST 120 pounds overweight. He should NOT have done surgery under those circumstances. Other than my weight, I HAD been a healthy, happy person. The hospital, Highlands Regional was less than stellar. If you want to contact me, IBPRETTY1@GMAIL.com

My daughter had an emergency surgery October of 2019 by Dr. Lackey. He was very professional, sincere, and literally saved my daughter’s life. Had it not been for his insistence on bloodwork and a CT scan on a Saturday afternoon, she would have been sent home by the ER, to await a surgery on the following Monday that they had believed to be a minor procedure. Instead she was admitted, had the first of two surgeries only hours later. She would not have made it to Monday. And I have nothing but praise and gratitude for him. Robin Jarvis
