Dr. Blackstock has been very helpful and extremely understanding. When I was emotionally abused at the workplace while pregnant she immediately took action and ensured me and the baby were safe. During my stay in the maternity ward she checked in frequently and was nurturing and understanding. Despite it taking a long time for my daughter to be born Dr. Blackstock was patient and motivated me constantly. She is also very personable and has a dry sense of humor. She is always willing to help and listen and does not hesitate to support in any way she can.

She is great. She has been my OB for the past year and half. I was recommended to her during an emergency and im glad I found her. Her calmness and patience is amazing. I really appreciate how she takes time to go through all my questions and explains all related facts and information. All in all only good things about her.

Dr. Blackstock was attentive kind and professional. I did not wait long and she helped me with all of my concerns. She took her time and did not seem rush. She listened well.

Dr.Melanie Blackstock Is such a wonderful caring nurturing Doctor. You ladies should be blessed to have her as your OBGYN I would rather wait for 30min knowing how she is going to take her time with me since I was high risk pregnancy I could call anytime and she was there I love her she treated me like a daughter I was referred to Dr. Blackstock cause of my situation and she referred me to a high riisk Doctor they both worked very well with me and with each other . She listens and answered all my questions and took her time to explain to me This was not my first child my daughter was my 5th child. I am from Pennsylvania my other OBGYN were never so sweet and they got you in and out Dr.Blackstock she never rushed me out of the office I had a breakdown and she hugged me made me feel at ease. So please don’t pay attention to what some of these negative comments say make you not want to go to this soft spoken wonderful Doctor Please give her a chance you ladies are more then welcome to call me if you have any questions I will be honest with you please feel free to call me 4123704119 I try to visit Dr.Blackstock a few times a year with my daughter that I had 6 weeks early I can’t wait to visit her again cause I could of lost my daughter my bp was so high I could of had a stroke or heart attack she made sure I came in 12 x a week cause she was very concerned about my baby and my well being.So thank again before you choose another Doctor 👩🏼‍⚕️

Thank You Dr. Blackstock from the bottoms of our hearts as you were caring attentive more than just a doctor to us and our lil baby Paisley. Tulsa is not our original home town being here for work. As you can imagine a child birth away from Family and loved ones is difficult Dr. Melanie Blackstock her team and those at Saint Francis hospital made it a fantastic comfortable experience. Paisley is the fifth child and first one born away from home but it was the BEST experience.yet

Find another doctor. I found Dr. Blackstock to be arrogant pompous and dismissive. Ignored anything I tried to say. I will not ever return. I dont expect a doctor to be friendly or happy but this level of negativity and unprofessionalism I have never seen. I am reporting the details to my insurance company.

I was scheduled to be induced two different times and rescheduled. Second time I was sitting at the hospital waiting and told to go home. Just that alone crushed me. When I finally got in two days later to be induced I waited my entire labor and never received an epideral. They just kept putting it off until the baby was coming out I really believe she never planned on giving me one and I was treated like garbage the entire hospital stay by not only Dr Blackstock but the nurses at St Francis. This was suppose to be a wonderful experience and I cant stop thinking about how terrible I was treated and how much pain I went through when I shouldnt of had to go through any pain and I especially shouldnt have had to go through a natural child birth I was told my entire pregnancy You wont feel any pain. Women have natural births everyday without taking anything for pain but this angers me most because I feel like she made that choice for me not to receive the epideral. She has no compassion and acted as though she didnt even know me when I came to the hospital after seeing her my entire pregnancy. The experience makes me so angry. I feel almost violated. I feel like she deliberately did not give me the epideral and I was given nothing afterward to help with pain. I thank god that I am out of her care and the nurses care at St. Francis hospital and that I made it home with my little one every day. Just please be sure to take plenty of family and friends with you to make sure you are cared for the way you should be during your stay at St. Francis and especially if your OB is Dr. blackstock. I would just advise that you find a different OB immediately

I had a bartholin gland drained by her she claims to have used numbing medicine and believe me I felt the needle and I felt EVERYTHING else as well especially her cutting me open.. it felt like she hadnt used any anesthetic and I felt the whole process and everything after.. HORRIBLE experience... I am in SO much pain.. she prescribed me antibiotics when the culture hasnt even came back but gave me nothing for pain

Dr Blackstock has been my OB for over 20 years. She delivered my daughter in a high risk pregnancy she performed my hysterectomy and saved my life she takes the time to listen and she truly cares. Because she delivers babies and does surgeries and sees patients and takes time to really hear them...her wait time can be longer than most. But in my opinion great things are worth the wait

I had 2 procedures done at once and spent 3 days in the hospital. She prescribed NO pain medication. I thought I was going to die. She is rude combative and generally unpleasant. She has yet to call me with my test results...
