Carmen Espinosa's Online Review Report Card

I agree with previous reviewer that "Dr." Espinosa is dismissive. Visits were extremely short (less than 10 minutes) and it was obvious by her limited questions that she was not interested in treatment or my mental health. She seemed to only wanted to prescribe me medication and move on with her day as quickly as possible. I do NOT recommend this doctor for anyone that needs mental healthcare.

Espinosa treated my daughter so bad that the girl left the office in tears. Espinosa tells you that she doesn’t want to hear your problems, to go to a therapist for that. She only wants to give out pills and for you to stay on those pills so she can keep charging you for office visits every 3 months. Horrible experience.

Please if you are treating sick patients it is not appropriate to have your cleavage exposed. It is unprofessional and unacceptable. She was extremely rude and dismissive.

listened to my problems and worked w me over time to find the right medication for me. shes friendly but to the point which is appreciated. she doesnt rush you out... you may have to wait a bit but shes worth it! she explained everything to me and answered all my questions. i highly recommend her

Dr. Espinosa is an excellent psychiatrist. I was recommended to her via a friend of mine who also sought treatment at her office. I was initially hesitant due to less than satisfactory visits to other professionals in the past (misdiagnoses, lack of respect, ad nausea) however her treatment is beyond what I have become regrettably accustomed to. Her candor, professionalism, kindness, and knowledge are above and beyond what I have experienced, having lived in several states. I highly recommend this doctor, especially for those who are hesitant to seek treatment. Sometimes reviews aren't the only way to find out what works and what doesn't. You need a complete picture, including a one on one session. You have to do what is right for you.

Great human being. She treated me when I was an adolescent and now I am 42 years old. She is very caring, loving and nurturing . Very knowledgeable !

Believe me when i say there are better options out there. I had been going to Dr.Espinosa for a few months and I would always an get attitude from her assistant(s) and finally was treated not correctly by Dr.Espinosa herself and that was the final straw. I as not only a client but, a patient should feel comfortable and not be mistreated.

My daughter, who was 13 at the time, was facing hard obstacles in her life. Dr. Espinosa gave her Depakote, and Welbuturin. I agreed to the medication, thought she intended the best for my child. After a few months, My child refused taking her medication and we once again returned to Dr. Espinosa. She made me commit my daughter in a hospital, only to realize though the blood tests that my daughter was correct about the medication. Dr. Espinosa would not cooperate with me, and we switched Doctors.

I had a bad experience with Dr. Espinosa. Both her and her staff are unprofessional. I could not make an appointment so I called to reschedule and no one picked up. Finally, someone called back they made a new appointment at 3 o'clock usually my appointments are at 6:30 o'clock. However because there wouldn't be another appointment until 2 months from now I said okay. The day of the appointment I was going to be a little bit late I called no one answered. When I finally get to her office she calls back. She tells me she has no idea what I am talking about about an appointment at 3 o'clock. I tell her her assistant gave me that time and she tells me I'm wrong I don't know what I'm talking about and that she's known her assistant for 20 years and would never make that mistake to give me a time when she is not operating . just making me feel bad about the mistake and telling me I'm wrong and she's right and throughout the whole conversation telling me to be quiet, to listen to her, and that I'm wrong. I'm not only a client I am a patient and should not be treated that way. I call my mom and tell her I want a new psychiatrist and no longer feel comfortable with her. I could have been wrong but I should not be treated that way and that her assistant could also have been wrong but in her eyes that's not possible. Then I get a call which I never get from her assistant telling me where i am for my appointment which is at 6, which again they have never called me to remind me of an appointment and I look at the clock and its 5:45 so why would you call me to tell me why I'm not there for my 6 o'clock appointment if its only 5:45 o'clock obviously to cover up the fact that they made a mistake and will not own up to it. Beware of dr. Espinosa and her staff, you can do better.
