Love Dr. Devabavus...she is wonderful...kind and caring...wouldn't think of going anywhere else.
Great Dr wait times could be better
My mom has been seeing this Dr. for years. My brother has never really cared for her attitude and rudeness, but she was doing what was needed for mom, and due to the fact that it was hard to find someone else to take her insurance, mom stayed with her. Then this year, my mom gets COVID in the middle of January. She canceled a couple of appointments because of this and because she is at the mercy of whoever is taking her (she doesn't drive). She ends up between hospital, LTACH, and Rehab for a total of 6 months. Because she didn't make appts with Dr. D while she was in rehab, my mom got dropped as a patient. I spoke to the doctor and explained that as I was not aware of this, and asked if we could make an appt and I would ensure mom made it there as approval had to be given from PCP for home health care. Nope! Since she only obviously cares about the paycheck and clearly not the actual care of her patients - she refuses to approve. Then to find out she is affiliated with Spring Hill Health and Rehab. Another place I will be sure to deter anyone to go to! Do not go here if you want someone that actually cares about your wellbeing!
Perfect staff Excellent listener. Highly educated Pleasant demeanor
Highly intelligent with fantastic listening skills.
She put me on a product for high cholesterol which caused adverse events and instead of trying a different medication, she did nothing. I asked for help with weight loss and she wouldn’t help me with a DP1 but told me to find out about it and tell her. There are so many examples I can’t list them all. After I requested my records be sent to my new PCP she locked me out of my account. I guess she didn’t like what I had to say.
she got really angry because my husband asked for a 2nd opinion she yelled i mean yelled!! she didn't even go over his PTINR not a good thing , and then never listened to my breathing she just yelled she didn't want to waste her 10 mins with us. my sodium was low she told me to quit drinking so much water.. also when she was hollering about the 2nd opinion she told us he is too old and on blood thinners and even if we went for a 2nd opinion she would NOT clear him for surgery.. she told him he has arthritis her response was we all have it, then said he has to decide to get up and move on.. she told us to leave she didn't want to be our DR which is fine.. after her yelling and not doing her job right we would not have wanted to see her anyhow. i said what about him coughing and chokeing at night she said he needs to be elevated. i said we have an adjustable bed but it doesn't help her response was he is old he with cough and he will choke and aspirate its ok.. really if your old RUN!!!
A very direct, friendly doctor. Enjoyed my appointments during my 4+ years in Spring Hill.
I would highly recommend searching for a different Doctor if you are thinking about perhaps utilizing this one. My experience is not only my singular opinion however, 3 patrons in the same day. I went to go in for just a blood pressure check due to dizziness. The receptionist brought 3 of us who were all waiting in the waiting room, to the back into individual rooms where the Dr. comes in to see you, well, after sitting there for 45 minutes listening to this Dr. chat on "speaker-phone" right out in the open, about her BMW car that must have needed repairs or was having issues with, and, hearing the other two patrons in their separate rooms (doors to each room was left open)complaining because this Dr. was conducting personal business while the 3 of us sat there for almost an hour!! How inconsiderate and ignorant to do without even coming in OR having her assistant or SOMEBODY come in to apologize. NOPE, just let us sit there. I got up, went back to the from desk and got my co-pay back.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
