Attitude! Attitude! Attitude! Dr Banwatt was at times arrogant and insulting. As far as I could tell, at that time knew very little about diabetes. Suggesting the patient eat high carb foods while using insulin does not work with diabetes type 2. No answer or recourse necessary from the doctor. Not interested and don't care.

There are a lot of doctors who will medicate you to fit your lifestyle, regardless of how unhealthy your lifestyle is. Dr. Banwatt is the total opposite. He will work with you so you are not addicted to prescription medicines and recommend lifestyle choices that will help you become a healthier person. So glad I found this doctor!

I have seen on occasions, and also his wife, who is a gem too. I wish I could hear better, he seems to talk low and we both wore face masks and I was unable to read his lips.

Dr. Banwatt is kind and caring. He listens well and tries to find natural alternatives for treatment. I highly recommend him if you are looking for a Doctor who does not just prescribe medications for everything!

Was glad to find out that he is no longer my primary care doctor at VA. His demeanor is lacking empathy and is an example of how the VA fails our Veterans. Over the years he told me to tell my Cardiologist what kind of meds he should prescribe, even after the Cardiologist took me off that med. I would not trust Dr. Banwatt with my health care needs

I am very pleased with the outstanding care that was provided to me by Dr. R. Banwatt when I was hospitalized for a DVT (Deep Vein Thrombosis-blood clot). He answered all my questions and was at the hospital every single day I was hospitalized. He is kind, patient and knowledgeable and I would recommend Dr. R. Banwatt highly.

I went to doctor Banwatt at the VA for approximately 20 years. I think he is a very good doctor and very through. After going to 3 other doctors who was not able to diagnose my problem, I went to doctor Banwatt who after giving me a through examination diagnosed my condition. He also diagnosed my prostate cancer while in was still in the early stage. I have been cancer free for five years since he caught it early. I have now followed him to his new office. I think he is the world's best doctor and have referee several of my friends to him.
