List of Verimed Ipa's Reviews
I have to say this office is great. The Dr. and staff are always understanding when I call from NC for issues regarding my Mom or sister (who is disabled). They are always quick and efficient. The Dr. understands concerns and listens. Being so far from my Mom and sister is hard..... but having a patient doctor and staff makes it a little easier.
This clinic is just okay, Doc. does not have a good bedside manner. He is quick and short. You always feel hurried. I called in for Prescription Refills and to inform them of my new Insurance Coverage. I pressed the button for Prescription questions or refills, left my message and waited. I never received a call back. I called again and left the same message for refills needed. Again a couple days passed and no call. I called the Pharmacy. They had not heard from the Doctors office. I called the Doctors office very upset. I pressed the same number for pharmacy refills. No answer, I hung up called back and talked to the front desk. I told them what happened, they made excuses and put me back to the prescription person. She said she never got the message. I explained in detail what I had done, she told me Oh that's not me. That is the general voicemail and the voice of the prior girl that worked here! By this time I was boiling. She put me through to the office manager as the Doc whom I asked for was not there. No answer to this call either. I left a message, hung up and called back again. They put me through to the office manager. I explained again my reason for calling and why I was so upset. She was also very short, rude and harsh. She finally said she was calling the pharmacy with a 10day refill until I had an appointment with the Doctor and hung up on me. The day my previous appointment was scheduled I forgot as we only have 1 car and I had to take my husband to work at the same time as my appointment. I called to get my refills and rescheduled, made the online visual appointment and that was very bad. Doc was curt, unconcerned and never went through procedures with me(nor did the front desk) to be made before appointment. I did not know that I had to get my bloodwork done a few days before my appointment. So I did not have that done. Doc mentioned that my BP was high and that we was going to put me on BP meds. When I got to the pharmacy, there were no prescriptions for BP so I just picked up my other meds. I am now looking for another Doctor. This office needs to change their Phone messages updating with one that takes messages for refills and make sure someone answers and calls you back or calls it in to the pharmacy!
This MD is as good as it gets. Thorough. Extremely helpful. Kind. Very competent. I can't list all the terrific things he's done to improve my quality of life, yet with every visit, I'm calmed and informed. As a primary MD, every insurance company screws them. I get far more than I give. Thank you Dr. Abskhroun.
In the midst of this Covid 19 where it's hard to go to the hospital and the emergency room is packed I figured I will call my PCP to see if he can help me. I thought for sure he will refer me to ER but knowing how the hospitals are now he actually went out of his way and opened his clinic left me a mask outside and was able to see me and treat me and thank God I feel much better now I was scared to have the virus but thank God it was not. Thank you Doc i really appreciate your work and taking the risk for your patients.
Very professional and the staff members are very helpful
Simply excellent Doctor, in term of Knowledges, dedications, Doctor's/patience relationship, is Outstanding service. I do appreciate the treatment and the support of Dr. Abskhroun and his staff provided to my husband during his illness with terminal disease "Cancer". Last but not the least. I would like to recognize Dr. Abskhroun personally for a great job and his attention to detail is commendable, his immense productivity and dedication to his job is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
We were not happy with Dr Abskhroun. He would get 'ruffled' if you threw too many 'problems' at him. Also, he NEVER touched us. He typed on his computer constantly but never felt your glands, looked down your throat, NEVER touched us whatsoever. ALSO...he always had one foot out the door. There was a period of time that he had a resident working with him that would see us first and then turn us over to Dr. A for just a couple minutes. We ALWAYS felt rushed. His office girls, Marilyn and Kendall were sweet and efficient but it was the doctor himself that just wasn't what we were looking for. We have found a doctor that isn't afraid to put his hands on us. And MOST importantly, one that isn't checking his watch and always in a rush.
At one point, we thought this would be the doctor for us...When we sgtarted, we were always seen by a doctor in training, who would gikve her lopinkion to him, and he would type away of the computer...no real contgact with us. Then he dropped the residents intrakining and we finally thought we were getting to see the doctor. Well..guess nkot! His cell phone seemed to take preference over our visit. We found him to be very uncaring about medical issues at hand
Dr Abskhroun's clinic is my second try at finding a "teammate" in my care (read my review of Gulf Coast Medical in Spring Hill). I'm happy to say that I'm staying with this practice. Having a connective tissue disease means a lot of doctor appointments for referrals and for regular care. The reception team get me timely appointments, call to remind me of my appointments, and have processed all my referrals and prescriptions correctly. The medical technicians/nurses have been polite, helpful, and professional at every encounter. This is a small office with just Dr Abskhroun to see patients. There have been a few times when I had to wait past my appointment time to see him. This is because he never rushes through appointments. I can appreciate that in doing so (listening to his patients) appointments can run long. Dr Abskhroun likes to focus on just a couple issues at a time to ensure no overlap in need for specialty referrals or medication prescriptions. This has reduced my daily medication load making my liver happier.
Great officeWonderful staffgeriatric doctor, foe elderly population

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
