I met Dr Carames while I worked at the hospital, went to him as a new patient and have not regretted it. He is attentive and listens to my requests and concerns, finds solutions and alternatives. He’s definitely an A+ doctor!!! His professionalism is more then just professional, but he almost has the ability to put his self in his patients shoes in order to give them the cares they deserve.

One of the best Doctor's in area. I went through 5 doctors before I found him. He truly cares about his patients. Very professional. Have recommend him to many people who have relocated to Palm Coast/ St Augustine area!!! He is excellent!!!

Great Doctor. Saved my wife's life. Did an ekg found a serious problem sent her to Dr Greene the cardiologist. And now she has a Pacemaker. Thank God. Feeling much better.

I have been a patient of Dr. Carames for years. He is the best diagnostician ever, and a very kind and caring person. He is no-nonsense which I really appreciate. He was great to both my parents, and now my grown children. I recommend him without reservation as someone that I know personally cares about your health, is super smart and gets things done. Highly recommend.

Update: needless to say things can change greatly given time and circumstance. Stopped taking mother to Dr Carames, the good Dr changed on us and became more interested in the "bottom line" $$$$ instead of his patients comfort and well being. I'm going to leave the original review to show that originally the Dr was great but missed the mark a he grew more interested in money. Original review: the Intenal Medicine Associates and Dr. Carames are wonderful. I do not know what the other reviews are talking about. I am very choosy when it comes to doctors and trust me when I say that this place is better than most. The staff is VERY professional and always busy making sure all the records are correct and up to date. Dr. Carames is so professional and he actually listens to your concerns and answers all questions that you may have. I highly recommend this Association and Dr. Carames to anyone looking for a Primary or Internist.

I've been a patient of Dr. Carames for about 12 years and I have no complaint about his practice. Although he doesn't spend a great amount of time in the examination room, he will take time to answer questions and explain any treatment options or procedures which is a sufficient amount of time. Very thorough blood work reports and has his own laboratory in his office which is very convenient . He always makes a hospital visit if you are admitted. Overall, I have confidence in him.
