I have been going to First Coast Pain over 3 years. Look no further when it comes to pain. Dr. Cartwright is absolutely amazing. I have suffered for many years with spine issues. I saw several Orthopedic doctors that did ZERO for me. His complete staff is very kind & professional. I don’t know what I would do without the care of Dr Cartwright and his staff. This was by far one of the most deceiving places that I’ve ever been to it started off well for the first eight months. I was straight up honest and was in communication with what was taking place as far as medications were concerned. I even went as far as writing down on the urinalysis test what medications I was taking. This doctor left me in a very bad spot I discontinuing my medication after I’ve been on it for eight years after two surgeries. I have major problems with my back and my neck and there was no communication whatsoever as regards to the process of how this worked ! I told his assistant and he acknowledged the fact I had a VA doctor then when I told him we had discussed the plan he acted like we never even talked about it. I am a retired Trauma Occupational Therapist and documented everything that was said and then denied later but it’s written in my journal dated and times and because of this doctor I ended up in the hospital for 4 days for a job he has sworn to do for patient care !

Dr. Friedenstein is an extremely competent knowledgeable health professional. I have had him manage my pain for two years now and have 100trust in him. He has various procedures that will carry you through to keep your lifestyle active. You can consult with him and work these options with confidence. I highly recommend Dr. Friedenstein for any procedures necessary. For me, he is handling my back.

I have severe stenosis of the lower back. I was initially referred by Dr. Haycook to Dr. Freidenstein's practice to determine what procedures could be implemented in lieu of surgery. I have went thru epidermal injections and ablation with very little improvement. The rationale for the procedures were fully explained and I believe that Dr Freidenstein's performance has been very good despite the outcome. I further would like to commend the nursing staff that supports Dr Freidenstein during the actual procedures. Throughout the entire processes, the details and expectations have been fully explained. I can offer no criticism and only praise.
