When you have to suggest treatment and medication it’s time to look for another Dr

This practice is very out-dated. No email. Their technology is from the 90’s. The people don’t know anything. They told me I need to come back for follow up and I did with another doctor. The woman, Markita and doctors wife never know the full story of what you are trying to explain to them. I came back for my follow up and they didn’t “remember”. Now they see I have been back but still want me to come back for follow up. Makes no sense. I just want my records. They want my money. Not happening- they need to update their practice and customer service skills.

Dr. Barros has been my primary care physician for a couple of years. I have found him to be very thorough and listens to my questions and spends the necessary time to answer them and provide recommendations on how conditions can naturally be improved. If that does not improve the condition, he will request tests as needed and provide medication or refer as needed to a specialist. I needed a hip replacement and he tracked progress of my Ortho visits and my surgery. He showed up at the hospital to check on my condition (as part of is early morning daily patient visits to Flagler Hospital). I appreciated this. As a result of these morning hospital patient visits, he is sometimes a little bit late to his office appointments. His patients know this. For this reason, I typically do not set up my office appointments early at opening time. The nurses are very good and office staff very pleasant. As mentioned in other reviews, his wife also works there and assists with in-office testing and general office needs. The only complaint I have is that the office was a bit behind the times in electronic communication of prescriptions to pharmacies and there was some issue with responding to pharmacy requests for approval to renew expired prescriptions. I believe this has been improved, but I am in the habit of requesting scripts for prescriptions which I drop off at my pharmacy.

This guy could easily hold the record for pulling " No Shows" for his scheduled appointments as well as being hours late when keeping them. The only thing this guy ever expertly provided me with is disrespect for my time and condition. I can only rate this guy as a sad joke among the medical profession and seriously question how a guy like this ever got here. Simply a disrespectful and disgustingly rude man who should be censured and not allowed to legally practice anything anywhere.

Dr. Barros has been my Doctor for 20 years. He is the best . He always listens to you. Always has time for you. I hope I never have to go to another family Doctor. He deserves more than 5 stars. His wife is there all the time. She’s just so kind and sweet. Staff is efficient.

Dr Barros is a good Doctor but his staff will cause you a lot of grief. I was sent to a specialist with a referral. Two weeks later when I went to the new Doctor there was no referral, The office had failed to send it. I called several times and the answer was we are working on it. 40 minutes later still no faxed referral. I had to leave the Doctors office because it was 30 minutes past the appointment time. This was a 50 mile drive there and 50 back. And the worst thing is the office tried to say it was my fault because I did not call them and check on the referral .Since when Do you have to call a Doctors office to see if they are doing there Job?

I am a new patient here, and I am pleased that Dr. Barros was VERY thorough with my initial exam. His staff is efficient and courteous. Very professional group, grateful to have found them.

Dr Barros was my primary care doctor for more than 5 years. I started going to him because he was one of the few listed on my not so good insurance at the time. I have multiple sclerosis and also 4 or 5 herniated disk in my back. My wife wanted to meet with Dr Barros with me for consultation of my health concerns. After the meeting and other issues after many other appointments she thought he was incompetent and I should get a new primary care doc. I should have listened to the wife.On one appointment I had a 1/4 inch skin tag or something on my leg and had Dr Barros remove it. He did remove it but he also made a long maybe 3 inch incision mostly superficial I am guessing so he could bill my insurance for a lot more money. My wife called him a butcher when she saw what he had done.He keeps bad records and can't remember what he is treating you for from one appointment to the next. At one time he had fairly good staff but the turnover of his employees in the last year or so his help has been incompetent also.Barros has had me on pain meds for several years. At my last and final appointment they somehow performed a drug test wrong and he would not renew my prescription for the pain meds and would not even talk to me about it or do the test over. If you know anything about pain meds it is dangerous not to taper down the doses for a patient and withdrawals can be very bad and have complications. Dr Barros just abandoned me to suffer. I left his office and had the same test done correctly at another office and they are tapering me down correctly from those meds.I am now going to find another primary care doctor that is hopefully more competent. This doctor has never checked my prostate or given a very good overall checkup. I probably should have requested better checkups but that is not my job it is his. I am not feeling well and hope my new doctor does not find anything Dr Barros may have missed.
