Dr. Hsu came highly recommended from more than one other Dr. He went above and beyond in the surgery performed on me and even took care of another issue, so I did not have to return in the next few years for another procedure. He is a very skilled surgeon with outstanding judgement and a great personality as well. I would highly recommend him to anyone considering a surgical procedure.

At the age of 72, and having high mileage on my odometer, I needed a good mechanic to fix a failed 2002 mesh hernia repair. I asked several doctors that I knew, who they would use for this procedure. Several names were mentioned, but one consistently rose to the top of the list. Dr. Hsu! Obtaining his services was virtually effortless and as enjoyable as possible, given the circumstances. His staff is the best; courteous, professional, friendly and compassionate sums up their worst qualities. Their best quality is that they make the patient feel like family, as does their boss. Bottom line: If your intent is to have the best of the best perform some professional gymnastics inside your body with sharp instruments, get somebody with the best professional record possible, the best reputation among his peers, and the bedside manner of a loving sibling or parent. Dr. Hsu's dance card has all those blocks checked. If you think you can find someone better to trust, good luck! Thanks Michael

Dr. Hsu removed a large lipoma yesterday from my upper back/neck area that was apparently under the muscle. He did such a great job that 30 hours later I have no pain or discomfort, and with no pain meds. I feel so good it’s been difficult to follow the post-op cautionary instructions. I strongly recommend Dr. Hsu for not only his skill, but his bedside manner and personal attention.

Dr. Hsu removed my appendix and repaired a hernia at the same time. He was very friendly and did an amazing job with the surgery. I had no pain afterwards and a short recovery time to being back to light duty stuff. I took it easy for a little more time, but was able to do simple stuff at about a week. Very small scars from the surgery and no problems healing! He takes his time and explains things with you which is very nice! He did follow up blood work and office visit to confirm everything was going as planned, which it was! I couldnt have asked for a better experience given it was emergency surgery and having to go to the ER. Thank you Dr. Hsu!

Dr. Hsu is a huge asset to St. Augustine. He's an experienced surgeon whose communication skills match his medical expertise. Hard to find that anywhere making it super convenient and lucky for local residents like myself. I had an outpatient procedure and the Flagler outpatient surgery center was clean, professional and complimented Dr. Hsu's skills. I would choose him again and recommend him highly.

I am blessed beyond measure to have been able to have Dr Hsu as my surgeon. I found out July 1 that I had Cancer. Thru several tests, and discussions, he went in and removed it on August 2. This Doctor saved my life. Had my golfball size tumor stayed, it would have burst in 3 to 4 weeks and I would be done. This Doctor is absolutely amazing. I heard nothing but great things from the Flagler Hospital staff. Comments like Who is your Doctor? and when I said Dr. Hsu, they all told me I had no worries, that I had the best. My experience with him has been the best. His office staff has treated me extremely well also. I am so impressed with the quality of care that I received throughout this process. I give a huge Thank you To Doctor Hsu and his staff!!!!!

I had been suffering for over a year and lost a considerable amount of weight. After several tests Dr. Hsu knew exactly what was wrong and scheduled emergency surgery. I haven't felt this good in years. He is an amazing and compassionate doctor. His staff is top notch. I never felt like I was a patient, they treated me like I was family. Thank you so much Dr. Hsu and your staff.

Dr.Hsu is highly skilled and very thorough..he fixed my umbilical hernia and did an amazing job..my only regret is not doing the procedure sooner

Dr Hsu did my umbilical surgery 2 years ago. His team was amazing, I was still breastfeeding my baby and they worked with me to get the right meds so I can nurse my baby within 12 hours. I have anxiety and I didn’t accept any anxiety meds and was so comforted and not scared at all despite it being My first surgery. After the surgery I was good to go home, after I was able to see everything I couldn’t even find my scar! He tucked it in my belly button. 2 years later and I feel great, my only regret is not doing it sooner.

Absolutely!!! I had major surgery for a perforated bowel and my one and only choice was Dr. Hsu!! He and the OR did an excellent job. My care at Flagler Hospital in St Augustine was tops. I spent 3 weeks in there and could’ve died from what I’ve been told, so happy things turned out for the better!!
