List of Monali N. Manikal's Reviews
The doctor and the old nurses were always great, been going there for 5 years. New scheduling nurse is extremely rude. Called her 3 times during the summer to get an appointment for update vaccination and she insists that my daughter does not need it. I explained that the school is not allowing her to get back and she insisted that the school is wrong. Had to go to Walgreens wait 3 hours and pay of the shots out of pocket.Never setting foot there again
Lauren Hendricks is amazing 5/5 stars (only seen my daughter in hospital) Dr. Manikal 3/5 as she hadno bedside manner. The nurses i encountered trying to get my daughter set-up negative5/5. They made me change insurance, then called me 5 minutes before my appointment while driving there to cancel, then made me aware that I had to wait till after the New year, called again to set up my appointment after the new year and they said that they still did not get it right and she was assigned to another doctor. she was born on November 20th and needs to see a doctor and so I got upset but still ask her nicely to help me change doctors and she kept saying you have to take her to the other doctor, you have to take her to the other doctor, and I said can you please just tell me what I need to do to fix this and she hung up on me! as I said I love Lauren as she was absolutely the best in the hospital and when I ran into her in the elevator she remembered who I was even though we were not in the hospital, but the nurses there make it very hard to just get an appointment to see her. So I have to go to another doctor unfortunately because now it's too late and apparently there's nothing I can do.
The staff are very helpful and kind.
Great providers! Always available and able to see my daughter. Such a great team! Always pleasant and professional. We love everyone.
My wife and I have been bringing our kids there (3 of them) for their lives, a little over three years. Our favorite nurse left ,but we continued to stay, even though the head doctors bedside manner was not always the greatest. We always saw Lauren, the nurse practitioner. She is awesome. Today my wife made an appointment this morning around 10 AM for our son. He had a huge lesion on his leg which appeared to be some sort of infection, possible staph. She was sent a confirmation email that stated that the appointment was at 415 at the Murabella office. I was taking him, so I left work at 345 to get there on time, as we live in WGV. So, right after I leave work, I get a call from my wife that just got off the phone with "Jackie" who stated that there was an error, and that the appointment was actually at the St Augustine office next to the hospital. I called the office to let them know that I was coming from Southside, and that that with traffic, I would be there around 445. They said fine, no issue. I get there at 447. I check in, give them my insurance card and debit card, and they charge me the co-pay. Then, the RUDEST woman I have ever seen in medicine comes out, her name is "Janice". She tells me that My appointment was at 415, and that I am late. I explain the same situation above, and the "jackie" is sitting right next to her. She begins to scold me, and talk down to me. Just being nasty. At that point, I had not yet lost my cool, but I was being firm. My son needed to have this issue looked at. It is now 5 with all the chatting. She sits me down, and tells me to wait. About 5 minutes later, she brings me back up, and tells me that she looked at our chart and saw that we had cancelled and rescheduled a few appointments in our history. In three years! Ya dont say! Then she tells me that she will not be treating my son, that the doctor does not have time. I ask for this doctor, and she refuses to see me. I then ask for the head doctor, Monali Manikal. They tell me she is not there. At this pointed, I am getting frustrated, and did the "dad, stern voice" and demanded that my son be seen, as this was not my error, and we had been patients for years. She refuses, and then tells me that, and I quote, " We were planning on sending you a separation letter from the practice anyway". At this point, I became irate. I did not care about the semantics, nor the red tape. It was their error, and I only wanted my son to be seen. She told me that I needed to leave, that they had plans after work. Did I raise my voice? Yes. Did I use bad words? Yes. (No one was there but me and the staff) At that point I lost it, and was asked to leave. I called to get the doctors MD number to file a complaint with the medical board, but was told, "It is public info, find it yourself" and was hung up on. I WILL never allow my children back in that office, since their "plans" were more important than my child's well being. Medical Board complaints as well as BBB complaints are being filed on Monday.
My son loves this place. He is almost 17 now and does not want to leave until he has to. They are easy to get appointments with and the Dr. and staff are wonderful.
Love this place... Been taking my kids for almost 5 years now.
Loved the nurses 5/5. Doctor was a 4/5. Nurse practitioner was a 3/5 she misdiagnosed my son.
Love both lauren & dr manikal. Donneria is amazing as well, but some of those new nurses are rude, so we have decided to change doctors.
I love Anastasia Pediatrics! No matter what time of day, I can always call with a question or concern and be spoken to immediately, or very soon after. The few times I've needed to take my daughter in last minute I've been able to be seen that day without a problem! The staff (including but not limited to: Ashley, Donneria, and Lauren) are all knowledgeable, understanding, and extremely friendly. We never dread going to the doctor thanks to these guys.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
