Dr. Hoogerwerf is a wonderful Gastroenterologist. She listens, is very concerned and kind. She asks questions, gathers information in a calm, professional manner and offers her suggestions as to how to treat the patient’s issues. My husband and I would highly recommend her.

I scheduled an appointment to meet the doctor. Did not need any diagnosis or examination. The office staff were very nice and it seemed to be a well run office. When discussing my condition and treatment with the doctor she was very narrow minded with her approach and treatment options. I did not feel she was interested in my personal healthcare goals or how I felt about treatment options. At one point she cut me off from asking questions saying I would need to make a follow up appointment. I figured ok since I was only coming in to meet her. I ended up getting an exorbitant bill indicating I had a complex consultation. I called the office thinking it was a mistake. No mistake. Healthcare at its worst. Uncaring, overpriced and unimaginative. No art of medicine here. There must be better doctors than Dr Hoogerwerf in Saint Augustine.

Dr S. Hoogerwerf is the best GI I have ever met. She is concerned about her patients. She treated my bother (who happens to have autism) with dignity and much respect. She worked hard and was able to treat him for his serious condition. Anyone who gets doctor Hoogerwerf consider yourself lucky.

Dr Hoogerworth is extremely knowledgeable, compassionate, and professional. She is one of the best health care providers in the area. I have had appointments in Palm Coast and St Augustine
