Avante At St. Cloud's Online Review Report Card

After spending 6 days at Avante nursing home St Cloud I'm finally home. I have been to a number of nursing homes and rehab centers in the last couple of years. I have to say Avante was the best. I would recommend Avante if your looking for a nursing home for your self or a love one. To see how they treat the elderly with love and caring is top notch you couldn't ask or find anything Nursing Home better. The entire staff should be commended for the work they do keeping there patients well taken care of 24 hours. If you ring for a nurse they come right away. The food is very good and they give you plenty of it. Just a few I would like to acknowledge for the care I was given and witnessing the care and love shown to other patients. During your stay you will be visited by one of the Administrators of Avante to see how your doing and if you need anything. I would like to thank Theresa Rivera the director of Admissions, Charlene Rice director of Nursing, Nurse CharSantiago Nancy Rubel, Nurse Liza Franco, CNA Tracy Duff Thank you for taking care of me.

Worst place ever! Things that were overheard and complaining didn't do anything. Things saw. Disgusting. Don't go here!

At first, everyone I came in contact with during my visit was professional and nice. However, on my way out Lisa T (I believe her last name was Thaung, or something along those lines as I quickly glanced at her name tag) addressed my grandmother as an “it.” This to me seems very disrespectful, especially if these are the kinds of people we are trusting to watch over our loved ones. Being this was my first visit, I am beyond disappointed of the level of inhumanity that I witnessed.

I chose this facility after a recommendation from a placement coordinator at St Cloud Hospital after my mother was treated for a hip fracture.The facility used to be a motel, is old, air conditioning is either too hot or cold, smell of urine and mold. Rooms are too small for two residents.

Excellent place my Grandma is there.Thanks staff for your care.

This place killed my grandfather!!! They kept us away from him due to covid-19 and supposedly keeping the residents safe yet my grandfather got covid from the staff! A patient suffering from Alzheimer needs there family!!!

Estoy aqui para rehabilitación y he llorado tanto pues el lugar es super inaceptable. No tienen los medicamentos a tiempo , pasa el tiempo no atienden llamadas del paciente me toca caminar para buscar a alguien disponible pues el caunter de enfermeras lo dejan vacio. La comida no se la daría ni a mi perro que amo tanto está siempre fria y el sabor es HORRIBLE. Los baños prefiero no bañarme pues puede uno cojer una infeccion de lo sucias que están esas duchas donde bañan a todos los pacientes y no desinfectan nada luego de usarlas. Se habla con Carolina , la administradora y dice que es inaceptable lo que ocurre pero no hace nada al respecto para resolver el problema. Ella acusa a los enfermeros los enfermeros a la PA y la PA a los enfermeros y asi pasan al paciente como si fuera un juguete que no sufre o padece. Yo estoy alerta y conciente pues solo estoy operada y puedo ver cada barbaridad que aqui ocurre , pero que pasarán esos ancianos que nadie puede hablar por ellos. JAMÁS!! dejaria a un ser que amo en éste lugar. Creeo prefiero el riesgo de no tener terapias y regresar a mi casa pero almenos alli tengo todas mis medicinas ya tiempo , estoy más segura de contagiarme con alguna bacteria de otro paciente que seguir aqui donde me siento deprimida , sufro de dolor físico muchas veces y no me siento segura. JAMÁS PIENSEN QUE ESTE LUGAR ES LO QUE VEN !!! LO DIGO YO QUE LO ESTOY VIVIENDO TODOS LOS DIAS.

**WOULD NOT RECOMMEND FOR A DOG**My father was sent here, when we finally had to fight to get him out as they kept him sedated and in bed, he could no longer walk, speak, etc. Upon getting him out every day he got clearer and was able to regain some movement, they sent him home with one pair of pajama pants. They can’t find his cell phone, $5k hearing aids, electric razor or any of his clothes. And then the assure us they will go to storage and find his stuff and now all they do is ignore our phone calls and the Administrator does not return calls. I wouldn’t take anyone you love here!!!! Any positive feedback and or reviews on this place must be staff posting! Carolina the Administrator is unprofessional and not quite sure how she has a job!

My mother-in-law was a resident while in rehab. My mother-in-law had Parkinson's and was really difficult to handle but they were kind to her, even when she wasn't kind to them. I got to know some of the long term residents and they will forever be in my heart. Many are like a family to one another and it's good to watch.Also, please don't forget to think about going and visiting or doing something kind for the residents there! They appreciate the smallest amount of affection and many have no one to visit them!

Very exceptional facility and even more exceptional staff. They were very friendly, attentive, and expressed genuine concern for the residents.
