List of Gastro Florida's Reviews
Loved Dr Patil but they need to replace the office staff manager in particular
Dr Patil was so nice and personable. I appreciate his thoroughness and direction for my medical issues. His bedside manner is amazing Nikki in the office is super sweet and helpful. Louann the assistant was a bit snippy but warmed up after some conversation. I will say the treatment rooms at 66 St location need some TLC but overall great experience.
My experience with Dr. Patil was fine but the office is a disaster. Most of the times that I call the office the line is either busy Im directed to voicemail or I get stuck in an endless loop of menus. Ive never been able to get a response when leaving a voicemail or requesting a followup call. The last time that I scheduled an appointment with them when I arrived I was told that there was no appointment on the books. To make matters worse I cant seem to find an alternative doctor all gastroenterologists in my area that are in my insurance network are part of the Gastro FL network including Center for Digestive Care which is problematic because other doctors dont seem to want to take patients from other Gastro FL doctors.
Not responsive long hold times and nobody follows up. I am not impressed with attention to patients. Its such a process to even find a GI and then when you do theyre less than dedicated. Your staff that surrounds you has to be as dedicated or more than the doctor himself or its all bad.
Placed on hold every time I called with ridiculous wait times or they never answered back. Unprofessional office staff. After two hours of my time I found they dont accept my insurance.
I have had a great experience so far with Dr. Desai would highly recommend. No run around and gets straight to the point.
Called yesterday waited on hold 30 minutes and forgotten about. Called back and was told my referral wasnt in. Called today and again on hold for 20 minutes this time. Then told I dont need a referral for an appointment and asked me what insurance I have told they dont accept my insurance. All of this could have been avoided if I was told they dont accept my insurance yesterday. Forgetting about patients on hold is a big turn off for me. Never met the doctor but the staff didnt seem very personable.
horrible place avoid at all cost a lot of people have problems here look at other 1 star reviews down
This day the wait was longer than expected but we found that it was because the doctor cares alot for each patient. When we spoke with him he was caring to the point and very clear on what needed to be done.
Dr. Milan R Patel is thorough thoughtful professional and friendly. I feel very comfortable having him attend to my gastro intestinal needs. The office staff is friendly and helpful and appointment scheduling was easy and I dont have to wait beyond my scheduled appointment. My recent colonoscopy uncovered many precancerous polyps which Dr. Patel removed. He suggests another colonoscopy in a year because of the number of polyps found which tells me that hes looking out for me. The actual colonoscopy was uneventful except the nursing staff were positively remarkable. I recommend Dr. Patel.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
