Best eye exam I’ve ever had!! Staff and Doctor were so friendly and knowledgeable!!
I had a great experience at Pasadena Eye Center! I accidentally forgot my contacts, which could have completely thrown off my day, but the staff went above and beyond to help me out. Since I had my prescription, they were able to quickly get me a pair of contacts without any hassle. Everyone there was friendly, professional, and genuinely cared about helping me. The process was smooth, and they made what could have been a stressful situation incredibly easy. I really appreciate their efficiency and customer service. Highly recommend Pasadena Eye Center to anyone looking for reliable and helpful eye care!
Sat there for over 45 minutes. 2 others came after me and went in first. Asked the front desk when would I be going. She said a person had taken my records and she was placing me in schedule. I waited 10 min and left.
Dr. Emery performed my cataract surgery and he and the surgical team were awesome. No more contacts or glasses. Shout out to Austin and Cristina who were very helpful. Also the entire office staff was great!. I would highly recommend him and already have!
I’ve been sitting in the waiting room for over 45 minutes. Haven’t even seen the doctor yet but going to 1 star this visit. Ridiculous! Come the requested 15 minutes early so we can make you wait 45+ minutes past appointment time. If they can’t keep a schedule perhaps consider calling patients and warn them of the wait times. This is just a bad experience and I haven’t even seen the doctor yet.
I experienced an episode of flashes of light and a floater appearing. I called Pasadena Eye late in the afternoon at which time the very kind and experienced receptionist informed me that I would be able to see one of their doctors the next morning. Day of appt I received a very thorough check-in and screening prior to seeing Dr Ryczek. The Dr performed another thorough exam and quickly determined the cause of my symptoms. Treatment and expectations were discussed. The entire experience was exceptional and put my mind at ease. Cannot speak more highly of my total experience at Pasadena Eye!!
The nurses and staff are nice and so efficient. The Doctors are kind and knowledgeable in all way. I felt i was in good hands.
I have had my vision care with Dr Nathan Emery since 2023 and have now had cataract surgery on both eyes using the light adjustable lens. I have had exceptional care here and now my vision is great - I only need reading glasses for fine print and my distance vision in both eyes is 20/20. Dr Emery is beyond dedicated to his profession and his bedside manner is impeccable.
I have had nothing but problems with these people from day one. The office staff is so scattered the right hand does not know what the left hand is doing. There is no coordination amoung them. Very first visit my contact insurance claim was file incorrectly. Asked to make an appointment to have testing for eyelid surgery in November. They could not get me in until February. Set up the appointment, met the surgeon but could not get the testing due to the person doing it was out of the office that week. Okay so set me up for the following week 2/12, then I go for the the testing and they start to do the interview I just did the prior week all over again. I had to tell them already did this last Thursday I am just here for the followup testing which could not get last week. Ok now we on the right track, get the testing done ( have had this before and they used tape on my eyelids during the process) I was told this time to just "hold my lids" up. I was concerned the entire time that as my arm was getting tired I would slip and my lid would slip and then the testing would be off. Moving on, went to see surgery coordinator on same day and this is important because I am taking Phentermine and should have been told to not take it after that date and was not. A fact I did not find out until two days before my procedure when the surgery center called me to tell me that they could not do the surgery because I was told to stop taking the pill on 2/16 which was not a full two weeks before the surgery. So yes all for nothing. But I digress. Before coming to this end, all wanted to know was what my insurance would cover. I was told in order to get a surgery date I would need an ekg within 30 days of that date. I hurried and got this done to proceed for surgery on 2/26. Met with coordinator received all instructions including that of stopping my pills on 2/16/26. She was calling in the antibiotic ointment for me to the pharmacy I specified which was Publix. I get a call three days later from CVS that they have the prescription. I go to pick it up and it is something I am potentially allergic to. So I call the coordianator back and she changes the prescription and sends to Publix. Two days later I go to Publix to check on it and they called her two days before to tell her that they could not fill it but never go a return phone call. so I call her and then all of the sudden publix calls me saying to go to another pharmacy of theirs and I can get it. Then she calls me to say she is changing the prescription again. I say no I am going to pick up at another publix. Okay now I have done everything I am supposed to do and am ready to have the procedure. I have put out funds for copays etc and then find out it can't be done because the coordinator neglected to tell me to stop taking the prescription in time. I will NEVER go back to the these people again. I feel they owe my not only my copays back but time I will never get back trying to coordinate and fix all their mistakes. DON'T EVER GO HERE.
This is relevant to the response time in having a question answered . No one answers the phone, nor do they call you back. I left 4 messages before contacting the front desk (not the right person, but a human). Finally I got a call back from the dr, but it didn't address all my questions. My pharmacy is also having the same issue. I can't get a prescription filled (insurance) and they need it written a different way. They have also been trying to call, with no response. The doctors are good, the ability to speak to someone if you're call in and their response time is terrible.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
