List of Pediatric Feeding And Swallowing Associates's Reviews
We have used Sarah Comrie at this location and she has done an excellent job working with our two boys. Sarah is a very patient and skilled pathologist. I would highly recommend.
We have been so blessed to find Pediatric Feeding and Swallowing. We had positive experiences with speech therapists in the past, however Joan offered new knowledge in regard to the connectedness of speech and feeding and swallowing that has made all the difference. Sarah joined her team several months after we began and has been a wonderful addition to the practice. With their specialized therapy techniques, my sons have made quick progress within a short period of time and continue to show growth. My only regret is that I did not find Joan and Sarah sooner!
My 5 year old son has been seeing Sarah for Speech Therapy for several weeks and we’ve seen and heard so many improvements. From his confidence to his pronunciation. His speech has improved tremendously with new words being introduced into his vocabulary. We’ve received great feedback from his school teacher just 2 weeks after starting therapy. Sarah put us at ease from the moment we stepped into the evaluation and throughout his therapy sessions. Her warm demeanor Nod patience shines through her work, you can tell this is her passion. Our son absolutely loves her and she takes time to explain & guide us as parents to work together collectively for the best results for our son. We feel so fortunate to have found such a knowledgeable and caring provider. We highly recommend Pediatric Feeding & Swallowing and have referred friends searching for a speech therapy provider.
My husband and I struggled for three weeks to get our 2 month old to bottlefeed after a tongue tie release. Joan was able to get her to drink from the bottle by her second visit. I can’t recommend Joan and her services enough.
Joan is absolutely wonderful. She is a wealth of knowledge and was able to get our 8 month old son in quickly. We drove over an hour to see her and it was the best decision. I highly recommend her if you have babies who aspirate or need additional feeding/swallowing help. Thanks Joan!
Joan was extremely knowledgable and patient with our daughter (who was not the easiest patient). We learned so much from her, including a lot about our daughter’s eating habits and things she was doing that we didn’t even realize were not good for her. We can’t thank Joan enough for her patience and expertise when it came to the treatment of our daughter. We would highly recommend her to anyone. -Jessica & Gabriel Lopez
We started seeing Joan when my daughter was just over two weeks old at the recommendation of a lactation consultant. She had poor weight gain and was unable to transfer milk effectively while breastfeeding in spite of having a tongue and lip tie revision. As a result of her issues, we switched to bottle feeding with pumped milk. Joan evaluated our baby and devised a therapy plan. After three weeks of therapy, our baby was able to breastfeed effectively! Joan is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate. She is exactly the type of provider you want caring for your child. Along with being a skilled therapist, she also has the heart of a teacher. Before seeing Joan, we felt lost and desperate but after seeing her, we were equipped and empowered to assist our daughter in overcoming her feeding issues. I honestly can’t say enough good things about her and we are so grateful for her services!
We absolutely loved working with Joan. When my son started working with Joan, he had serious speech delays for a 2-year-old. After a few months together -- his vocabulary expanded, he began saying several-word phrases, and his confidence in communicating verbally grew tremendously (which meant less frustrations for him and tantrums too). Her approach is warm yet professional, industry-proven, and thorough leaving no stone unturned. Joan Comrie is a talented speech therapist and if you have the chance to work with her, I highly recommend taking advantage.
Joan was wonderful! She helped us understand and address the feeding concerns we had with my little one. Very patient listener and gave us evidence-based education and interventions. Highly recommend!!
Joan is absolutely the best! I brought my son to her at five weeks old after having a tongue tie revision and tons of problems being able to nurse or drink from a bottle effectively. Joan was able to immediately recognize what was happening and give us some exercises and techniques to implement and improve his ability to suck and swallow. After lots of patience from her and baby I was able to start nursing him again and this time effectively and without pain. This has been a huge gift and one that we wouldn't have had if it weren't for her constant encouragement and guidance. Joan is extremely knowledgeable and proved to be more helpful than I could have even anticipated. Joan truly educated us on not only feeding techniques but what behaviors and habits we can have with the baby and for the baby to encourage proper function of his tongue and swallowing. She has been and continues to be a trusted resource as we transition into solid foods. I can't recommend Joan's expertise enough. She far exceeded our expectations and taught us the things we didn't know that we didn't know. I feel like my personal WWJD has become What Would Joan Do. She's like your feeding guardian angel, sitting on your shoulder and helping you make good decisions for you and your child every step of the way.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
