List of Stephen Voltarel, Md's Reviews
Both of my girls were patients of Dr V's before we moved out of Florida. My 19 year old was a patient for 13 years and my 5 year old who's been a patient since birth. My 5 year old was born in July 2020 and was a PICU/NICU baby for 2 weeks. He actually saw her every day in the hospital which I was so grateful for! The practice I worked for had their providers rotate on who saw newborns. I remember during Covid being in the office for an appointment and I had never seen Dr V look so tired and just worn out. He was still his usual chipper self which must have been hard at times. I was struggling with the decision to put my little one in a daycare setting so I could return to work and I said to him "Dr V can I ask you a question- he said sure what's up? I said if you had a baby right now would you put them in daycare? He said no without hesitation. I said ok, that's it. She will stay home with me. I actually wasn't planning on writing a review today, but I felt like I needed to and sorry for the lengthy review but I figured a parent out there may want to hear more about his demeanor. We haven't found our Dr V here yet and it's been very frustrating not to find a pediatrician that the parents feel they connect with and are being heard. My 5 year old is nonverbal autistic so it's super important she's comfortable with a provider. Because we haven't found our match yet, it made me appreciate Dr V SO much more. That is why I'm writing this review. That and I figured it's not fair to gatekeep Dr V anymore although I do believe he is close to retiring ??I used to work for another well known pediatric office in Pinellas and still was employed there for a little while when we found Dr V. The employees of that practice were able to have their children seen for free by any provider in the practice if need be. We ended up having a temporary gap in insurance coverage and I still didn't take my oldest to the practice I worked for.He has so much compassion, he is excellent with the kids!! I can't say enough good things about him. He's a healer and that's important to me and I'm sure other parents feel the same.I'll bet some patients don't know that he was in the service when he was younger (I think navy but can't remember) and he had a vaccination hospital/site in a 3rd world country setup to give those kids a chance at being healthy and receiving life saving care from Dr V! I could go on and on about him. Best pediatrician ever, ten fingers and ten toes down!! Thank you Dr V and staff at the Tyrone office for taking such great care of my girls!
Great doc -thorough, kind and great with the kids. I'm a doc and I take my kids to this doc!
He was amazing with my son ,who is now 24 and we will never forget him . He took over Thomas White as my son's Dr .Never did we think we'd be happy after such a great previous dr. Yet he was amazing with my son .
Dr. Voltarel was the doctor at the hospital when my baby was born and he's an amazing doctor I wouldn't change him for anything my son is now 15 i have 2 little ones and he's the only dr I ask for when I go in there he doesn't give meds unless absolutely necessary and he makes us all laugh when he tells my kids they are full of birds and have nest in their ears they love to hear that absolutely grateful for a dr. Like him
Been going to him for 14 years now and the kids still giggle when he does the birdie in the ear thing :) Such a wonderful man! And a great doctor.
Absolutely the best pediatrician I've ever came across. He is so wonderful with children and you can truly see he enjoys what he does. He takes your concerns seriously and is always very through. I recently moved out of St. Pete and it's been hard to find a pediatrician that compares to as great as Dr. Voltarel!
Love love love them
I have been going to Dr Voltarel for 14 years with my oldest son and now my 1 yr old twins see him. There is no better doctor in this world! He always listens and never pushes meds unless absolutely necessary. He is a warm, gentle, friendly and radiant soul. I don't trust my children's care to anyone else. If I could give 10 stars I would!
Amazing with kids
After several ear infections and 3 doctors later, we were fortunate enough to find Doctor Voltarel for my 6 y.o. son, Christopher. We had just relocated to the area from Clearwater and was very concerned about our son adjusting to so many changes, school and healthcare providers were at the top of our list.Upon the first visit with Dr. Voltarel he was able to find the root of Christopher's ongoing ear infections and prescribe an adequate medication regimen that actually worked. Why couldn't my son's other doctors resolve this after years of seeing him?? I'm truly thankful for Dr. Votarel.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
