List of Emily H. Putney's Reviews
On my first visit, she did send her PA which surprised me. However, he was very informative, reviewed my x-rays, and answered all my questions. My next was with her. She went over my x-rays and discussed several options for me to consider. Surgery was the final option that she suggested. My visit was pleasant.
Last year, when my back first showed signs of letting go, I spent a good bit of time researching the very best back specialists in our area. Time and again Dr Emily Putney showed up right at the top of the list. From the very moment I first met with Dr Putney I knew that I had made the right decision. I already was aware of Dr Putney's training, background, experience, and other patient reviews. What I did not know was also how great a person Dr Putney is. Back surgery is nothing to be taken lightly, by anyone, but from the very beginning I was totally at ease with and had total faith is anything Dr Putney deemed necessary as a treatment plan.I cannot state enough how much I would recommend anyone needing anything related to spinal or back conditions putting themselves in the so much more then capable hands of this excellent surgeon, and person.
She’s the best!!
Did Not see Dr. Putney at my appointment June 15, 2021. Michael saw me instead and asked me lots of questions. I told him that i did not continue with the Physical Therapy Dr. Putney had me take. On April 19 I went via ambulance to Martin North ER because of a horrific pain at my left side of my lower back. The CT Scan showed a Kidney Stone so was taken care of at the ER and the Dr. sent prescriptions to Walgreens and gave me one to hand over to them. The pills were 2 for pain, 1 for nausea, 1 until the stone passes and one was an antibiotic I took for a week.I was told not to make another appointment unless I get back pain again because he sent Walgreens 2 prescriptions. 1 of which is for pain and the other I am not sure what it is for. I will try to call the office and leave a message for Michael and ask for him to call me.The injection he gave me for the pain in my lower back where the pain is and very near where the Kidney stone pain was has helped very much. I did like the medical visit with him.
Was not a warm and fuzzy experience.
Hopefully you never get her to make you better in a workmans comp case. She all about the comp insurance company than she is about getting you better, that's my opinion.
After waiting for 1 hour and 15 minutes she sent her PA to my room for our new patient visit.
THE most unprofessional doctor I have ever met. Her staff is rude and dismissive and disrespectful of your time or physical condition. Typical wait to see the doctor is 1 hour. I waited an additional 25 minutes for a prescription and when I left the exam room to find out what was going on, they acted like I was an annoyance. They then announced that because I was angry, the doctor would not be filling my prescription. I waited another 15 minutes and then learned the doctor was not filling my prescription because of my "behavior". I was told several times to "leave". I did and went to reception to ask for my money back. One of the incredibly aggressive and rude office workers told me "you are not getting your money back and if you dont leave I'm calling the police". I am a 69 year old woman with a cane and can barely walk. Dr Putney and her staff are despicable. I do not recommend that practice. They treat you like a number at best and let their ignorant staff dictate your treatment.
She is extremely knowledgeable in spine conditions, gave all possible treatment options, and did not rush right to surgery. She is extremely pleasant and truly caring. She is everything you could ask for in a surgeon.
She is extremely knowledgeable, friendly, listens to you, and gives you options not just immediately taking you to surgery. Anybody with back or neck issues needs to see her before doing with someone less qualified.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
