List of Kevin Hou's Reviews
After going from PCP to PCP I finally landed with Dr. Hou. He is reliable, professional end empathetic. He tries hard to get to the bottom of the issue. He takes personal his responsibility to serve. I like the fact that I can communicate with him using my chart and he always responds, at times even after 10:00 pm!!!
I have been in the area for three years and needed to find a GREAT primary care doctor. Coming from the DC area where we have outstanding medical care systems, I was really anxious about finding a doctor who met my expectations. I selected Dr. Hou after a lot of research and was relieved and extremely satisfied with my visit. His bedside manners are outstanding, sufficiently direct but not insensitive and he is very assured, gentle, SUPERB listener, patient and most of all, extremely knowledgeable. His questions were on point and he respected my reluctance about certain aspects of my medical care. It is so important for me to have confidence in and be comfortable with my healthcare provider. Responds very quickly and clearly to messages conveyed through MyChart. Dr. Hu checked all my boxes. He is a keeper.
Disaster. Inexperienced, “ not experienced or qualified to treat your health”. Bio shows poor Med School, training . Worthless visit, terrible experience to schedule. An example of today’s dissociated Doctor. I wasted hours on scheduling. I should bill Dr for my efforts and time.
Look elsewhere. Needs better training and experience.
My experience with Dr. Hou patient care was not very good. I saw Dr. Hou in January 2020. He marked on "My Chart" to make a return appointment in July 2020. When I called to confirm my July appointment a few days before the appointment, I was informed Dr. Hou's staff failed to schedule the appointment he ordered. I was told the next available appointment would be in March 2021, 14 months after my last exam. Why is Dr. Hou overbooking patients when he cannot take care of his present patients?
Dr Hou was very pleasant, attentive, and thorough. I went to see him for some heart issues I was recently starting to have (it seems to be related either to my depression/anxiety or possibly stomach/gastrointestinal issues). He listened to my concerns and asked lots of questions, making sure to rule out all immediate health risks. Having dealt with various doctors over my life, it's amazing how just rare it is for a doctor to just be attentive and not condescending or short. Very professional and seems to really know his stuff. Will gladly be making Dr. Hou my primary doctor.
My wife was diagnosed with a disease that could have multiple causes two of which are very serious and can be diagnosed by MRI brain scan. The two most serious causes being tumor or MS. My wife was promised that within 24 hours of having her MRI the doctor would read the MRI and call and inform her of whether or not she had a tumor or MS , Waiting 24 hours was hell for her. She never got a call so she called and was told that the doctor was working from home today, then she called the next day and was told that the doctor would be out for a week and my wife is upset, worried, stressed out for no reason! This is a repulsive unhuman and not customer friendly procedure. Furthermore, it makes a patient feel like they have no worth, it makes the doctor look like he simply does not care whatsoever that a patient could be worried, stressed out, in fact, possibly contributing to poor health relating to stress. This is unacceptable!
Friendly, thorough, and time efficient. He listened to my concerns and offered possible solutions and referrals. I will continue to use him as my primary care physician.
Dr. Hou was very nice. However, the staff at Martin Memorial Medical is horrible. I am changing doctors because of them.
A great experience. Dr. Hou is very efficient and thorough. He addressed all my health issues and his staff has immediately started to send the referrals.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
