Lawrence Kantor's Online Review Report Card

He is absolutely the worst doctor I have ever been to. He prescribed meds that cause weight gain and when I gained weight soon afterward he got sarcastic and told me to stop eating so much. He also yelled at me for medicine another doctor prescribed and banged his fist on the desk. I never went back. This was a few years ago.

LARRY KANTOR WAS MY GP FOR 10 YEARS. THE PROBLEM IS, HE NEVER DIAGNOSED MY SYMPTOMS CORRECTLY. I FOUND OUT, FROM ANOTHER DOCTOR, I HAD HASHIMOTOS (WITH NO THYROID LEFT) AND AN ADRENAL TUMOR LAST YEAR. NICE GUY, REALLY, BUT NOT A GOOD DOCTOR!!!! HE NEVER EVEN SUGGESTED I SEE AN ENDOCRONOLOGIST. HE TOLD ME MY THYROID WAS FINE. TURNS OUT, HE DIDN'T ORDER THE CORRECT TESTS. MORE INTERESTED IN BRINGING IN INTERNS THAN CONCENTRATING ON HIS PATIENTS.

I have been a patient of Dr. Kantor for several years. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing his services. He is patient and thorough each time I visit. I feel that he takes a genuine interest in my health. He also has a great staff.

Dr Kantor is the best GP MD I’ve had in 35 years. If you are fortunate enough to have him as a physician, count your blessings. He and his entire staff are wonderful, professional, kind and compassionate people.

Excellent family doctor. Have used him for many years. Very personable, thorough, and professional. Takes the time to listen/act on your problems and listens to any other concerns you might have. Does not hesitate if procedures or referrals are required. Would highly recommend him and his staff.

Terrible bed side manner. Gruff is the word I used for his personality. Over orders on tests. He will talk but not listen. Very opinioated and his help is too inexperienced. I notice no one stays there, always new help. ..big turnover. I tried to talk to him about my medical condition after he left the room and he was writing in my chart and never looked up at me. .totally ignored me and after standing there I felt embarassed and left.

We like this doctor's attention to detail. At our last appointment, we waited 1 hr in the room. Ugh! Awful. I guess you wait and get to see a doctor you like or you don't wait and see an inadequate doctor. Not both. Maybe one day we can find both.

Excellent physican......no nonsense manner, very serious doctor who gives great care.

Dr. Kantor has been our family physician for more than 22 years. My husband and I are fairly young, however, most of his patients appear to be of retirement age. We have never had to wait more than 20 minutes. LIKES: He is knowledgeable,professional,caring and thorough. He makes you accountable for following his recommendations and is direct. He spends as much time needed with his patients. He knows about your past history when he walks in the door and truly cares about people. That's what we like about him.
