My husband was just released from Martin North. He came to see my husband once and said he needs to go to rehab. He had no knowledge of my husbands history and did not even check to see that he had been in Martin 4 xs last year and this time for the same condition. Very poor and also non caring doctor. I agree with this rating and if he had been at Martin would have not allowed him to see my husband.

Dr Ratanu discharged my loved one without the critical medication that he needed. The psychiatrist recommended it but when I asked Dr Ratanu about it- he seemed unfamiliar with the medication and said he “needed to do some research on it”. I was shocked- I work in the medical industry and I am familiar with this drug. He ultimately decided not to give it to him. It caused him to have yet another medical episode and I had to complain to the hospital about it. I would never recommend him.

My elderly mother had the misfortune of having Dr Ratanu as her hospitalist at Martin Memorial Hospital recently. I was staying with my mother around the clock while she was hospitalized. Dr. Ratanu did not impress me as a qualified physician based on the lack of communication with me and his knowledge of my mother's condition when I questioned him. I eventually requested a new doctor and am filing a formal complaint with the State of Florida as well as with the hospital. Incompetent doctor!!!!!
