Dr. Burke is the best of the best. Great bedside manner, patient, thorough, knowledgeable and empathetic. He somehow makes you feel as if you are the only patient he'll see all day. Today was a perfect example...I had an MRI of my lower back done early this morning and within 15 minutes of arriving back at home, he called with the results and treatment options. Frankly, he did a better of explaining the MRI findings and treatment options than my surgeon who is board-certified in the specialty. He's considerably more knowledgeable than any family practitioner I've ever come across. And having lived in three different regions of the states and having had 9 orthopedic surgeries performed for sports-related injuries...well, I've come across several good GPs.

My mother referred me to Dr.Burke as I did not like my current primary. I found Dr. Burke to be excellent doctor all the way around. Dr. Burke takes all the time that I need to have any questions answered. His staff is excellent and I would have no problem referring people to Dr. Burke and staff.

I had a very good experience at my yearly physical. I am a new patient to Dr. Burke and the Bethesda Health Group. Dr. Burke took his time going over records, asking me questions, listening to my concerns and questions, and advising me of tests that I was due to get. I appreciated having the vaginal/breast exam right there vs going to another doctor. The Bethesda Health Portal is super easy to use. It has all my records immediately. No long waits. Very practical advise.

Apparently this is a very busy office. As a new patient I was denied access and referrals till after an initial doctor visit. I was told I would have to wait 50 days for that visit. I mentioned that I had medical issues and was advised to find a new primary doctor if I wanted prompt health care.

I had been going to dr.Burke for the last 1 and 1/2 yrs as I had to change bcbs plans due to cost and my previous family Dr does not take this plan due to the low reimbursement rate. He is a horrible MD. My triglycerides and sugar have spiked and he refuses to put me on new meds due to cost even though I have insurance. I believe he is on cost sharing plan with insurance co's to write for the cheapest meds possible as he makes $ off of thus..BEWARE
