Saved my life and kidneys from sepsis. Eternally grateful.
Dude is fantastic. All doctors should be like him. Kind, courteous, and thorough.
This visit was in the ER so timeliness was an issue, not his fault he was doing very well! There were car accidents, baby issues, etc. Once he realized why I was there, he did more for me than my many doctors!! He took time to come in, sit down, and ask about history, symptoms, he ordered every test needed that should have already been done in my lengthy ordeal prior to this visit!! He was sssooooo thorough and caring!! He made sure that I didn't leave the hospital prematurely with the same problem I came with. He ruled out all the serious stuff with lots and lots of labs, a chest ct scan, numerous x-rays from differnt angles, and then talked to me about every one of his findings! I have had a very bad experience with that particular hospital prior to meeting Dr. Ferraro in the few weeks before this incident. I was seriously considering switching hospitals for my family and never going back there, but when he treated me, it put what faith I had lost, right back. Martin Memorial: Well Done! You finally found a Dr. that cares enough about his patients to spend time with them! I was admitted to this hospital for 10 days before this and found out more about my condition and got more answers in my 5 hours with him, than the whole 10 days I was a patient! Dr. Ferraro, thank you very much for your becoming a Dr. and for being there the night I went in!! And to those of you who gave a bad review because he wouldn't treat you for "pain managment" are horribly mistaken and bitter looking for a fix from an ER Dr. Go to pain managment!! ER Dr.'s are exactly that, "emergency" your chronic pain is not his problem!!! He made sure I was comfortable and not in pain in my "emergency". He was very concerned about my pain and anxiety level for the record.
however, when I was admitted to emergency for pain management after my doctor had to close suddenly, and my primary doctor, Dr. Richard Weisberg refused to return my calls, or even discuss "pain management" that is refused to give any medical reason for the attitude, "it just isn't up for discussion, that is all" was shocking. Both doctors, Ferraro in ER prescribed 20 tablets of medication that I have had extrememly toxic side effects to, rather then prescribe on going medication I have been treated with good results, no abuse, taken as prescribed for nearly ten years to maintain my health in chronic pain management. How would you feel if your ER doctor did two things: prescribe rat poison, not good for you, but because he will not prescribe what you have been taking for ten years? He actually had the nerve to intimidate me by threatening me about taking the very pills that are making me so ill, desperately trying to seek some help with the chronic pain I have been treated and responded well to over past ten years, but because he kept repeating, "doctors choice to prescribe" and then following with threat, my desperatly taking anything in house, or in prescription bottle from hospital (although same as rat poison for my system - but lets not forget, who prescribed it, even though it is known to do severe liver damage, he felt it would be better for me then the medication I had been suddenly cut off from a month ago, and just could no longer tolerate so much chronic pain, for so long, without help. He gave me the "rat poison" variety, that is, the type I had been told to STOP taking due to mny demonstrating every side effect they give in the precautions when taking that medication, and my telling him, it only makes me sick.
Dr. Ferraro has a great bedside manner and was extremely helpful in diagnosing and treating my illness. Highly recommended.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
