Richard A. Krathen's Online Review Report Card

Arrived 20 minutes before my appointment time. Upon checking in I noticed that there appeared to be some different staff. The person checking me in asked for my name and then told me to wait to be called. I believed that she did not collect my $35 co-pay because I had already met my calendar year out of pocket expense. I waited in the waiting area until everyone had been called back including patients that arrived after I did, and even had appointments later than mine. Upon inquiring about being skipped, I was told that the people called back were seeing someone else. Upon leaving, another staff person scheduled my follow-up appointment, and then asked the person who checked me in if she collected my $35 copay. She said she had not and they asked me to pay it. I knew that I met my annual out of pocket expense, and inquired if she had confirmed this with Cigna. She confirmed that she checked with Cigna and they collected the copay. I've followed up with Cigna and do not believe that the copay should have been collected. Please verify this and return the funds at your earliest opportunity. The check in and check out has changed and was disappointingly handled, unlike in the past. I've been a patient of Dr. Krathen for many years and this was not how his business operated in the past. Hopefully, this will be corrected. As always, everything else about my care was exceptional. The PA, Olivia was so professional and personally called me with the biopsy results. The biopsy area healed quickly, and without incident. Two days after receiving a call from Olivia regarding the biopsy results, I received another call from someone in your office that called to tell me the results of the biopsy. She sounded Hispanic and informed me of the same biopsy results. I'm not sure if the two calls were intentional or if there was some communication issue regarding my biopsy notification. I'm very happy with the professional care from Dr. Krathen and Olivia. Hopefully, the administrative hiccups will be corrected as you settle into your new office.

As a patient for perhaps 8 years, I have nothing but praise for Dr. Krathen and his staff. They are on time, excellent in their examinations and immediate treatment, and Dr. Krathen as a MOHS practitioner provides painless surgery with minimal is any scarification. He is great.

I have been treated by Dr Krathen for many years. I was referred to his practice for his Mohs experience and training. I have had multiple treatments over the years without leaving much of a scar. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Krathen is an excellent dermatologist. He Is thorough, explains any anomalies that he sees, and the treatment that he is going to perform. I have had two mohs surgeries by Dr. Krathen with excellent results. Dr. Krathen is businesslike but friendly and his staff is professional and very proficient at their jobs. I highly recommend him for anyone looking for a dermatologist.

Never have I ever had a disappointing visit and has kept me clear of any cancerous growth or any other skin related conditions. Great surgical skills as well.
