Dr.D is the best , takes time to make sure you understand and never condescending, DR. D definitely makes the world a better place.T.Martin7/20/21
He took care of my grammy and now my mom..they love him
My 90 year old father recently developed breathing problems and we were referred to Dr. D. by dad's cardiologist. Dr. D. spent one hour with my father and I was shocked and pleasantly surprised by his level of attention and concern. He asked many questions and took the time to explain lung issues to us. I feel confident that Dr. D. has my father on a path to recovery (or at least on a path to a better quality of life!). Clearly Dr. Dermarkarian has not lost his passion for providing excellent patient care.
I am not rating the doctor as I was refused the opportunity to see him. I am rating the treatment I got from the staff including the RN. I called to get an appointment the beginning of December 2020 and I couldn't get in until the end of March 2021. The appointment scheduler recommended I could see the RN that works with the doctor. I took the appointment to get my foot in the door. In the meantime I was able to get an appointment with another doctor also part of Cleveland Clinic. was able to see him in January. He recommended I see a hematologist as did the RN at Dr. Dermarkarin's office. When I called to get the referral to see the hematologist, they refused to give me the referral because I saw the other doctor. I was told by people that have gone to Dr Dermarkarian that he is a great doctor but his staff sucks. I was refused care because I saw another doctor by the staff. This should not be decided by the office staff but by the doctor. What happened to other opinions?
He is thorough and knowledgeable. His office staff is unbelievable: as someone else said, they NEVER answer a phone call, NEVER call back. I have called and left messages at least twelve times and ...nothing. I asked if my CAT scan results were received. The response was that they had so many reports to go through, they couldn’t possibly find mine. It happened again when I asked if the scan was received. I was told that there were 200 to go through, and they had no time to find mine. When I went in personally and complained to the receptionist, another patient in the waiting room said she felt the same way I did—that all calls were ignored and she had just had surgery 2 weeks before. I would love to know what is going on. Are they understaffed? Is there such low morale and, if so, why? Is there a silent mutiny going on?
Caring and highly competent physician who provided a thorough evaluation while remaining friendly and down-to-earth. Along with Patricia LaMedica, APRN, who provided the same high level of competence, concern and care, I could not have received better, quality healthcare. Highly recommend!
Dr. Dermarkarian seems to be a very competent doctor, but the same cannot be said for the practice's support staff. I just had an appointment changed without my prior knowledge. Calls to the practice are almost never answered by a person. And, voice mails requesting a call back are never answered.
I loved Dr. Demarkarian. Really knows his stuff.
A very caring Doctor....
Over the course of a year, Dr. Demarkarian repeatedly has missed his scheduled office appointments with me. I am told by staff they attempted to reach me for scheduling change, which is highly unlikely. I have responded to their texts and phone calls for the upcoming appointments only to arrive and be told he is a absent. Staff is disorganized and can’t fully explain his absence except that he is at the hospital. Over and over. I travel a long distance and leave other responsibilities to make my appointment only to be dismissed by staff and by his absence, the good Dr,.Yet, if you miss an appointment they are quite clear that they will charge you. This dismissive nature shows contempt for the patient and disregard for their physical concerns.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
