Dr. Blackburn is a phenomenal hand specialist. Not only did he perform successful surgery on my hand but his bedside manner made me feel comfortable and at ease. He took all the time I needed to explain the procedure and answer all my questions. Would highly recommend Dr. Blackburn for anyone experiencing hand problems.

I've been a patient of Blackburn II for approximately 1 year and I absolutely recommend him to anyone with hand issues. I have a bad CMC joint in both hands and went to him because he explicitly spoke of that issue on his video and I had heard of joint replacement options. The guy is cutting edge. My next move is surgery with him.

Dr. Alan Blackburn is new to me as I am to him. Unfortunately I have broken a few bones since turning 50.I am happy that he is now my Dr.He makes sure to explain the issue so you can understand it.I did not feel rushed as I have at other Dr.s offices.The fracture elbow I have was hard to see in xrays the first week I went. After two more weeks of exercising the area with weight restrictions I went back for more xrays. I felt it was OK just a little sore. Dr. Blackburn found a very faint line indicating the break.Thankfully he did. Now more exercises and restrictions for a month.If he had not found it I could have done more damage and required surgery.

Absolutely the best bedside manor I have experienced from a surgeon I have been a nurse for 30 years and have a surgical background. My initial Appt was scheduled for 1 issue but after speaking with Dr. about symptoms , i am now consulting for 2 other issues. Dr Blackburn is very thorough , and from my knowledge of my issues i believe he is very informed , up to date on all new treatments and what most impressed me is that he was able to advise me re which issues were most important to deal with at the present. He did not try to sway me into unnecessary procedures. it is also so helpful that the office has exray equipment on site and saves numerous trips elsewhere. All of the staff are very kind, and professional. There was only a small wait time , but worth it , as Dr spends time w each and there is no hint of being rushed. Any and all questions are handled patiently and thoroughly. The technician that took my x-rays was gentle and considerate I would definitely recommend this practice.
