Mohan L. Gupta's Online Review Report Card

It took a couple of years for me to write this review - I don't like writing negative reviews. Dr. Meenu (the woman doctor) had been treating me for a few years. Prior to that, Dr. Mohan (the male doctor) had effectively treated me for about 15 years. About two years ago I got terribly ill for about 3 weeks. I kept going to Dr. Meenu, but my symptoms would not go away. I told the doctor I thought this may be caused by her doubling my medication, to which she tersely replied, "I would never give you medication that makes you sick". One Friday night I got deathly ill, and walked into the office the next morning. Dr. Meenu was not there on Saturdays, but Dr. Mohan saw me. The minute I explained my symptoms, Dr. Mohan looked at my chart and told me to cut back my medication to the original dose right away. I did this, and the illness immediately went away. I returned the following Saturday for my follow-up. Dr. Meenu was there so she saw me. After the consultation, I walked with her to the computer and asked what she thought had made me so sick. She said "It's probably all in your mind". I was so stunned, I asked the question again and she responded a second time, "Maybe it was all in your mind". Then she said she would have to increase the medication again. I decided, there and then, that I was being abused and would find another doctor. Shortly after that, Covid 19 was all over the air ways, and I panicked at the thought that I could have had the virus and be told it was "all in my mind". My new doctor listened to me and increased the medication gradually until the right dosage was reached. Instead to doubling it to 50MCGs, she went to 37.5MCGs every other day, then every day, and this worked perfectly. It is my hope that this review will positively encourage listening to the patient and not taking her concerns personally. Sending respect and thanks to Dr. Mohan for his care over the years.

Horrible horrible customer service, they are very rude and never answers the phone and when they do you’re put on hold and forgot about, I called and left messages for two weeks trying to get a referral for my sick dad who has been in much pain. I had to literally visit the office and demand they send the referral for him to be seen by orthopedic doctor! I have Been hung up on and disrespected more than enough and this place needs to hire a whole new team more motivated and happy to do the work because as of now I’ll be searching for my father a better physician in a more stable workplace who actually wants to help their patients ✌🏾

They literally forgot about me while I was in the room! After the initial check-up, Dr told me the blood results wouldn't take long and if I wasn't in a hurry I can wait for them, so I did. I waited. The receptionist brought me to the front to pay because she was about to go home. After we completed the transaction, she told me to go back to the room I was in. I did. I saw the NP along the way and she confirmed the room number I had been in. I got back to the room and waited. I saw some patients leave. I waited. I saw more patients leave. I waited. I heard staff say goodnight. I waited. Finally, I poked my head out and saw the lobby had been closed and lights had been turned off. The doctor was on his cell phone and the NP was in the same room I'd previously seen her in. I walked out into the hallway and waited for Dr to look up, but they didn't. I walked by them and still got no acknowledgement. Finally, I spoke and asked about the blood tests. After taking 7 seconds to finish the text he was in the middle of, he finally looked up at me. They hadn't even been done! And he told me he would call me with the results! I only waited because they suggested it! If they were too busy or it wasn't going to be done, they should have sent me home and just followed up with a phone call. This was by far the worst experience I've ever had in a Dr's office! It was so disrespectful! No apology was issued! If you enjoy being treated like the invisible man, then this is the place for you!

As a doctor it should be your main priority to help you patients especially if they are unable to see you for a long period of time. This is not the first time that he has been rude and obnoxious he not very friendly to begin with. Not a people person at all. There is another lady that i used to see, i believe it’s his wife and she is wonderful if you where to go i recommend asking for her because he is a total a-hole

VERY HAPPY WITH THE SERVICE

I have been a patient of Dr. Gupta for 12 years He is the best primary doctor that I ever had. Professional and very caring about your health. Recommended friends and family members and very happy with him. I consider my self fortunate to have him as my Doctor. Want to add his staff is excellent helpful and caring.

You never get a call back concerning your blood work when they say they would. My last visit a week ago, my appointment was at 4pm and I was a few minutes early and still didn't see the doctor until 5:14pm. The doctor only talked to me for 2 minutes or less. The reason for my visit was to take another blood test to see if my cholesterol and liver count had went down from my previous visit where he said I should go on a diet. I went on a diet and ate clean and he said i didnt need to do another blood tes. This makes me irritated and not very confident with this office. How can you give me instruction and have me come back and not want to do another blood test to check to see if there is progress and take the next neccessary steps in my health.

Been with this DR. for approx 20 years..he is THE GREATEST...highly recommend him as ones Doctor..A TEN PLUS.!!!

This is the best internal medicine and family practice in South Florida. Dr Gupta exceeds excellency, he is one of the most thorough, educated, physician I have ever encountered. I frequently recommend patients to him, my family members and friends go to him as well. My uncle was visiting here Florida from out of town, he had been sick for many years, went to several doctors, without any success, I took him to Dr Gupta and in less than an hour, he was diagnosed. I am forever grateful for Dr Gupta, and the fact that you can have everything done in one place, at one setting, it's even better. Keep up the good work Dr Gupta.
