Gary E. Winchester's Online Review Report Card

I have been going to Dr Winchester since 1998. He isn't super chatty, but he is courteous and very professional. I've always felt that my health was in good hands. Some people may not appreciate his approach, for me this is what I want in a doctor. If you need a chatty counselor like Dr you should probably find someone else. He's getting older now and I will miss him when he retires.

The offices poor, and lack of communication has jeopardized my elderly mothers Heath, and they don’t seem to care. Maybe I should help them care.

I’m shocked at some of these negative reviews. He has been my GP for years. He is always attentive, responsive, interested, and helpful and everything that’s happened to my body and mind to date. His helpers and staff are courteous, timely and generally overall on top of things! I for one, am glad he is my doctor and appreciate his demeanor, seriousness and understanding. He’s very qualified and experienced.

Rude and no bedside manner.

Provides professional, caring clinical services. Answers your questions directly. Good bed side manner.

I see a lot of negative reviews for Dr. Not treating you and referring you to a specialist. He does this because he is not your standard drug pushing Dr. Many Drs. Will test you and treat you for conditions they know very little about and then you are wrongly diagnosed for a condition you do not have. I was one of those patients. I had a Dr that wanted to diagnose me with COPD even though I had never smoked and did not have any of the major symptoms. Even the pulmonologist they referred me to said I did not have COPD but they still insisted I did. I changed Drs to Winchester and after "referring" me to specialists it was determined this is myNorm and I am perfectly healthy. Oh and that Drs reviews are in the high 4s because his patients believe he has saved their lives by finding out what is wrong with them in the Dr office and "prescribing" them life saving meds. I shudder to think how many of these patients are being treated for diseases they do not have and the side effects for these medications that they soon will develop is scarey. So go ahead and complain that he can not fix you. I am perfectly happy that I have found a Dr that does not want to pump me full of medication for an illness or disease that is not his specialty. Thank you Dr. Winchester and your wonderful staff.

Dr. Winchester is a gentleman and a professional. All these negative posts seem to be written by big babies. He's a doctor, not a counselor. The 3 month wait was worth it for such a great experience.

If there is zero stars I would give this doctor and their practice zero stars (especially the office staff) they are in this for money and do not care about their patients. Be advised if you were really in need of seeing a doctor they don’t care. Also quote from their manager Pat “if you ever do leave their office they will not accept you back as a patient”. Extremely unprofessional and petty be advised don’t make him your primary.

The office manager asked us to go to another practice because she thought I called too much and asked too many questions. This is my family’s ‘health’ we’re talking about.If you’re five (5) minutes late, not the usual, allowance of 15 minutes, you will be canceled.Drive safely.I approached one of the nurses about weight loss. I was told to set up an appointment with a plastic surgeon for a BREAST REDUCTION and told I was a normal weighted person everywhere else. As it turned out my thyroid was just barely functioning.I’m working with different physicians now, and am a new person. The best advice I received from them was to go somewhere else.

It's no wonder there are so many complaints in the reviews, they are more than justified. Dr. Winchester and is staff are exceptionally rude, I have never encountered a practice like this and cannot believe they are still licensed. I highly recommend using any and all alternatives to Dr. Winchester. I cannot in good faith recommend this practice, especially for those looking for quality care for serious or chronic conditions. The staff went so far as to patronize my knowledge of the disease I’ve had my entire life and has continually mocked the severity of my condition both during scheduling, visits, and other interactions. It’s a wonder an ethics complaint hasn’t shut this place down, although I expect with a practice like this it’s a matter of time.
