List of Pooja N Patel's Reviews
She's okay, has a weird bedside manner. Not very friendly, doesn't smile much. Not exactly rude, just a bit impersonal, as in "I'm here to be your doctor, not your friend." If you have specific questions, make sure you ask them outright, even if you have to write them all down. She'll go 10 miles in a circle giving you information, rather than just straight shot from Point A to Point B. My friend who was with me asked, "Can she get on medication?" and Pooja answered, "If she wants to." Um, I'm the patient, why am I suggesting meds to you? ARNP Ginny is super sweet once you get to know her. They're only so-so about returning calls.UPDATE 2021: Pooja has gotten a lot better and I really like her now. Even front desk staff has gotten better. Changing to 4 stars.
This lady is an evil snake. During my last appointment she literally berated me saying I needed to “just accept it” the IT Being her assertion that there was nothing wrong with me besides fibromyalgia, and she said not to ask anymore doctors for help. Turns out she doesn’t know a damned thing. I have severe nerve damage and thoracic outlet syndrome and I need at least three surgeries and this lady told me to avoid sugar… not only that but she LITERALLY SAID TO QUIT ASKING OTHER DOCTORS FOR ANSWERS. she said stop seeking help, they will only offer me stuff that won’t work. Meanwhile I have a major vein and blood vessel entrapment and dying muscle… she doesn’t even have a United States medical degree. It’s an “equivalence” degree she has.
This lady is pure evil. She literally berated me during my last appointment saying I need to “just accept it” and “stop looking for answers from other doctors because they’ll just offer you treatments that don’t work”… well guess what.. if I had followed her advice I never would have found out SHE WAS DEAD WRONG AND MISSED SEVERE NEUROPATHY THAT NEEDS SURGERY. this lady is a snake. Don’t trust her.
After waiting a year for an appointment due to office disorganization I have had a horrible experience. Referred by my primary care due to abnormal labs. Dr. Patel is clearly very smart. She isn’t “rude” but she is asking a line of questioning not to help but to make you someone else’s problem. Her assessment however was accusatory and dismissive. “Why are you here” because I was referred here why the hell else would I be. If rheumatology issues were ruled out the caring and professional thing to do is - ok here are some recommendations I will send to your pcp but your issues do not appear to be in my specialty.I’m a healthcare provider and I don’t feel she was trying to help. She was trying to rule out me being her problem. Headaches - not my problem, hormones - not my problem, chronic pain - and I quote “oh you will hurt”. Who says that? Seriously - No concern AT all and at that point I knew I was wasting my time. After waiting over an hour for my first visit I was told in summary to diet exercise and not drink soda. Since I’m almost 40, have had symptoms since my early teens, and have a parent that died before 60 as an addict because chronic pain and similar issues I wanted to be proactive. Pretty sure drinking water isn’t the main issue here. She suggested a med change that put my normally low bp to chest pain status. Did not taper me off of the discontinued med at all which left me in a horrible mess. Withdrawals and had to stop both cold turkey. So now I hurt even worse, have hypertension, and withdrawal symptoms completely unproductive. Her nurse practitioner Jenny is very nice - but since I couldn’t reach them via phone I made a pcp appointment who had to straighten out her mess. Do not waste your time. I went because I felt bad - she not only annoyed me with her dismissive behavior but put me in a worse health situation than I started with.

I read these reviews and I am very confused. I met the nurse practitioner who is an incredible human being first. She then told me I would meet the doctor. I did see Dr. Patel on my first visit, as I should have. She was the kindest, nicest, most compassionate doctor I had seen in over a decade. I had been complaining of horrendous pain and dismissed by many in the profession. She treated me with the outmost respect, and kindness. Long story short. She recommended life changes that totally and drastically changed my quality of life. One time they recommended a medication which I respectfully rejected. No issues there. I have a fatty liver since I was young. I do watch out for that and make my decisions based on my own research. Sometimes they may miss something. It is my informed decision as a patient to accept their recommendations or not. However, if I refuse to follow all their plan of care, why would they want to treat me and spend their time with me as a patient? The office staff does not answer call during lunch. Other than that, I have always reached them. The ladies are very professional and super sweet. Do not listen to negative comments. I am not denying their experiences but I have nothing but positive things to say about this doctor and her staff!!! Make your own decision.
This office is outstanding! I have had RA many years now and I am new to this area. The office staff is terrific which is a big deal to me as when the office is terrible I run the other way. Dr. Patel is very thoughtful and she takes her time with you she knows what she is doing. They have a team environment in which you get assigned to a Nurse and they become your main person for care. At first I thought this was a little strange as before moving here a year ago I always saw my RA Doctor directly. However; after awhile of going here this proved to be more effective with being on a regular rotation with my Nurse team. I love my nurse Susan Alverez she has been very instrumental in my care and hands down has the best caring bedside manner that I have ever had anywhere. You see Dr. Patel every so often on a rotation so she is in contact with your care at all times. I use the patient portal which I find to be a very very useful tool as you can message them with any issues ask questions see all your bloodwork and any testing I strongly urge people to use this they monitor it and they get back to you immediately. So this has proven to me to be the best thing as not having to wait for a call back etc on your concerns or if you need an appointment you can make it here as well it’s a wonderful wonderful tool.My wait time always has been no longer than 10 minutes which is nice and I never feel rushed. The office is always clean and all Medical staff are outstanding and pleasant. RA is a tough disease but her office educates you along the way as well. I’m very happy overall with this office and if you stick with this office and understand how it all works within the team it’s well worth going here for your care.
I like Dr. Patel. She knows what she doing & gets right to the point.
Dr. Patel and staff are the best! Whenever I needed a question answered and I didn’t have an appointment, I would enter it on the Patient Portal and get an answer. Dr. Patel has never been rude or her staff. I am blessed to have the whole office in my corner!
I love my doctor and nurses! They're always so friendly and go above and beyond when it comes to their patients. I have lots of questions every visit and they do not mind answering them.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
