List of Ricardo Ayala's Reviews
Dr. Ayala was instrumental in saving my son's life. From the time we arrived to the PICU, he was honest with us. He implemented his extensive knowledge on brain injuries and recovery. We are grateful to him and look forward to our check-up where we gather more information and always feel supported and heard.
If there was a zero, that’s what I would give. WORST OFFICE EVER. These reviews don’t lie. Dr Ayala is a complete jerk. His staff is rude. Didn’t even get to see him. SHUT THIS PLACE DOWN.
I took my Dad to Dr. Ayala after his neurologist in Valdosta closed the doors. I gave him a list of new symptoms that we had noticed. It was awkward talking about my Dad in front of my Dad. Dr. Ayala looked at the paperwork and then asked me "well, what do you want me to do?" I said several times that we know there isn't a cure.Dad was scheduled for an EEG following the appt. I asked the doctor if he would call with the results and he said "only if I see a problem". He made me feel stupid and was not compassionate at all. He prescribed Dad medication and after being on 1/2 the dosage for a week, could not function and slept day and night for two days. I tried to contact the office via the portal and leaving a message. No one returned the call. We took him off of the medication. After speaking to a pharmacist about it, the pharmacist called the doctor's office and only then did a nurse call. She said he hadn't been on the drug long enough for it to hurt to take him off of it. No further contact from this office.
Worst office ever! Tried to put me on a medication for epilepsy eventhough all exams showed nothing to back up his diagnosis. A different office faxed for my records and it is taking days. Called and was told it could take 5-7 days. Meanwhile, I'm home on a vacation that I do not want to be on. I will never deal with this office again! I would rather drive hours away if I have to.
Twice they have rescheduled an appointment months in the making because the doctor was traveling. So either his staff has no idea what Dr. Ayala's schedule is when they make appointments or the Dr. doesn't care what on his schedule when he plans to travel. Either way it is the least professional doctor's office I have ever encountered, and that is really saying something. It would be great if doctors cared about their patients.
Wish I could give 0 stars. I have never had a worse experience at a doctor’s office. Didn’t even get to see the doctor and had my appointment rescheduled to another time. Getting to the office is nearby impossible with all of the craziness from TMH because there is no separate parking lot. There are also no directions or signs to know where you are going. I was a minute late and marked as a no show. Don’t even want to get started on the office staff.
I can't get my medicine
I was impressed by his expertise on day 1 when he gave me exercises to do and a prescription to follow. He was pleasant and genuinely cares. His nurse is also wonderful. They explain everything well and work wity the patient. I am so happy to have been referred to him. My migraines have improved within 3months.
Dr. Ayala referred me to Dr. Ortiz. Dr. Ortiz is trash.
Its seems to have gotten better over the past few years

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
