List of Shayibu Harruna's Reviews
Dr. Harruna is one of the best doctors I have ever had. He alone gets 5 stars. Unfortunately my experience with his office is awful. 1) Nearly impossible to get someone to answer the phone even when you try every selection in the phone menu. 2) They don't respond to my pharmacy's faxed request for a refill and since I'm unable to get anyone on the phone I often have to get my primary physician to order refills instead. 3) They sent me an appointment reminder, but when I got there I was told he was in surgery "didn't anyone call me?" 4) I was scheduled for surgery and my surgeon needed to know how long I could be off blood thinners prior to surgery. Over a 2 week period, my surgeon's office called 3 times and no one answered the phone, on the 4th try they were told they would get the message to Dr Harruna, but there was no response after a week. They tried a 5th time and were on hold over 20 minutes before they gave up. My surgery was canceled because they never got the info they needed. About a year ago I told both Dr Harruna and his Office Manager about problems with their office and they thanked me profusely but nothing has been done to improve the situation. With the final straw of canceled surgery, I need to find another cardiologist.
I recently took my FIL to an appointment after having a triple bypass surgery. The customer experience we have received so far from this office is leaving us FAR from impressed with this office, the doctor and it's staff. They had continuous issues with their equipment to read the records on my FIL's pace maker during his office visit, took his blood pressure 4x due to the nurse not placing the cuff correctly. The doctor came in for all of 3 minutes, looked at my father in laws medication, asked if he needed refills (yes) and stated he would put in medication refills for everything he was currently taking. Briefly asked about any chest pain or shortness of breath and then just left the room. We sat in the room for two and half hours before a nurse came in and decided the doctor wasn't going to come back and see us and we could leave. I called the pharmacy the next day only to find out his office didn't send any medication refills over like they said they would. Even after I got verbal and written confirmation that the pharmacy location was correct for his medication. I have called 3 days in a row now, wait on hold for an excess of 45+ minutes with no one coming to the phone. The two times I have gotten through, one nurse assured me it was taken care of, yet another nurse called 2 hours later in the same day to let me know she was going to personally speak with the doctor about the medication refills. Its another day later, no one in their office is answering the phone, the pharmacy has received no medications for my father in law, and he is a heart patient with a pacemaker and is going to be out of all of his medication for his heart this weekend due to their lack of communication, lack of patient customer service, lack of empathy for their heart patients, and lack of record keeping between office staff. Its outrageous that these facilities expect their patients to wait this extensive amount of time just to check on a medication refill. What's even more outlandish is the lack of ability to just leave a message with their office. Most facilities allow you to leave a message if they are tied up. Not this office, they just expect you to sit on the phone for an eternity hoping and praying someone will answer the phone. Guess if he has a heart attack we will just go to the hospital and pray, because at this point it doesn't seem like they give 2 cents about their patients.
The best Dr. ever thank you for your help
Dr Haruna seems to be a very accomplished cardiologist. He is thorough and very nice. I will be seeking another group of cardiologist due to the fact that the phone issues. I had an issue with meds and waited more than 30 minutes to speak to someone. Today I called twice once I waited 10 min and the second call I waited11 minutes. I have an appt on the 19th. I will not be attending due to this issue. Someone should co tact me.
They were very kind and thorough.
Very pleased with my Doctor, he took the time to talk to me.
Dr .Harruna was very thorough in helping me get better
On December 7th, Dr. Harruna stated he would order a diagnostic US and that that office would call me to schedule an appointment. Because I never heard from anyone within a month, I contacted the Dr. Harruna's office and explained that I had not been contacted. The receptionist said she would notify the MD. I heard nothing and called again several times over the next four months, never hearing from the cardiologist's office or from US, even though I explained that my symptoms had increased in frequency.
Dr. Harruna is one of the best Doctors I have ever had. On one occasion when I visited his office with chest pains, he personally put me in a wheelchair and HE pushed me out of his office and over to the hospital emergency room and he directed them into admitting me and directed both my admission and testing to be done. He didn't have someone else do it and send over directions on what he wanted done; no, he took me there, personally told them what to do and the next morning during his rounds he visited with me, gave me the results of the testing and prescribed both medications and next steps for my long term treatment. He is the BEST Cardiologist in the Tallahassee area I know, and I am blessed to be one of his patients.
He was a very good doctor and very thorough

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
