I went for years trying to figure out a problem with my throat and the doctor kept telling me that it was due to silent acid reflux. Even after extensive treatment for the “acid reflux” nothing changed. He did surgery to fix a deviated septum thinking if we could mitigate the allergies and mucus maybe that would fix the issue but it didn’t. Plus ever since that surgery I’ve had more problems with my sinuses than ever. Finally I went to Shands in Gainesville and they told me that I had laryngeal dysfunction where my vocal cords did not close like they should. They did a procedure on my throat when helped immensely. I don’t know why Gilleon couldn’t see the issue but I spent so much money for a problem that could be fixed easily. He was also not very personable and seemed unconcerned with my issue. Everything felt routine with him, like he didn’t want to spend much effort to figure out the problem.

He was amazing. My baby had a lip tie & it was painful to nurse her. I was scared to put her through any procedure for my own comfort but knew it had to be done. Dr. Gilleon put me at ease & the procedure was super quick. She now nurses without hurting me. So thankful for him listening to me when the pediatrician didn't.

If you live in a town where sinus/allergy problems are given to you at the city limits, it's helpful to have a caring, really good ENT. Dr. Gilleon has been a godsend. He's caring, listens, and actually knows his stuff. Absolutely worth the wait.
