My GP attempted to hook me up with TMH Physician Partners- Lipid Center several times since May 2021. They never returned my calls. Finally my husband went into their Lipid Center at 2633 Centennial Blvd to make an appointment for me. The first appointment they cancelled. The second was today 9/8/21 at 2:30. I arrived early, at 2:00, went inside and the woman behind the desk told me my appointment was cancelled. Her explanation was, "The doctor cancelled all appointments for today, we're short handed, I was in the process of reaching out to you, but we're short handed." I explained that I had taken the afternoon off from work and couldn't they have called earlier? Her response was, "We're short handed". Very unprofessional and disorganized. I called my GP to request for another recommendation.
If you love your family members you will not take them to this hell hole. I visited my husband and found him in his urine and feces three of the seven days that he was there. He was a dependent patient and when he would call for assistance, no one would show up. He went in through emergency and it took them twelve hours to get him into a room. They did not give him anything to eat until the next evening, eighteen hours later. I had to give him his bath and brush his teeth. I asked one nurse to assist me in changing him and she said "I have carpal tunnel and cannot lift anything healthy. I talked to husband on the phone and he sounded agitated. I called and spoke with the RN on call and asked if the pain medication made him fidgety. She told me I think that that is just who he is. I was very offended because she does not know my husband. Their emergency room is filthy. Housekeeping came to clean my husbands room and only swept one side of the room. I took his trash and soiled lined and place it on the hallway because it was stinking and no one came by to pick it up.This is not the exception with this hospita, it is the rule. I have had family members there and the service was always the same.
I wouldn't be here today if it wasn't for Dr. D and his staff. I'm blessed to be a patient of theirs for the last two years.
i hate this place with a passion. the staff is extremely rude and handled me violently when i was having a panic attack, and afterwards put me on anti-psychotic medication for having a literal panic attack. Dr. knight diagnosed me with bipolar disorder after talking to me for an hour, which, if you know anything ab mental health, you should know never to do that. when i was inpatient i was told multiple times that i would be let out but wasn’t until a week later. please do not go there if you can help it.
I received excellent outpatient treatment for years and the staff were always respectful and kind.
Staff is great and truly care about the individual.
I would NOT recommend TMH Behavior Center if you are having any type of mental Crisis! Most of the support staff (Techs, Social workers & music therapy, cafateria staff) are good (with a few exceptions). The Drs & Nurses need a lot more training in the correct way to deal with a person going through a rough time. They are not up to speed on the latest Trauma Informed Care, I only saw a real psyciatrist for 10 minutes over a computer monitor that had very bad reception. There was a Tech in the room monitoring you, which made it hard to talk about personal issues. The Dr asked me three times which pharmacy I needed my presciptions send to, & still got it wrong. This made me realize he wasn't listening to anything I said!!! Also, if you're concerned about the corona virus, patients were not required to wear masks (they said they didn't have any ) for a facility that charges $1,800 a NIGHT you'd think they could go to the fucking gas station & find some for less than 50 cents a piece!! I've been here more than once & have always had a terrible experience. If I could give this hospital ZERO STARS I would!!!!!!!!!
I was a patient at the Tallahassee Memorial Hospital and it was TERRIBLE ! I will NEVER go back . The doctor disregarded my symptoms and told me "back pain is common in adults" . I never said my back hurts. It was my SI joint basically rubbing together. I felt as if they were talking to me as if I were illiterate and I am actually very intellectual. They seemed a bit racist towards me as well . I was told "Im glad you didn't put your hands on any of the staff here. " I would never do that. ON TOP OF THAT , as I was being discharged, I was given a shot in my buttock that I WAS NOT AWARE OF ! The doctor NEVER SAID I would be getting a shot of any kind. He did say I would be given muscle relaxers but never said anything about a shot. I was very disgusted by the service. It was 0/10 !
Mom was brought in last Sunday at 3 a.m. by ambulance because she was not breathing well at all. She stayed in the ER until about noon and they moved her to the 5th floor. They took very good care of her on the 5th floor and on Tuesday they moved her to the fourth floor which is NIMCU. Better care. Are you for real? They did all kind of tests on her heart and said their heart look good. So then they started testing her lungs and her lungs came back looking good but they started her on antibiotics and prednisone. Well they decided to take her off of requip -which she has been on for 7 years and the doctor that just recently within the last year increased her dose and stopped muscle spasms that she's had continually for the last 7 years and said to never stop it suddenly- while they tested her kidney function. Okay, it wasn't so great the first day and then the next three days we heard it was good. This is the fifth day that I've asked for them to put her back on requip and they won't. After the fourth day of telling us her kidney function was good and that's why they took her off of requip. Today she has her right mind and is thinking very clearly and yesterday was much better as well but the day before that oh, she was very combative very angry and very confused. Well that's one of the side effects of coming off of requip all of a sudden. But they wanted to argue but that was not a fact. Furthermore the doctor or the new hospitalists promised us yesterday that were they were going to work with us to help Mom get home and that today we would definitely see a physical therapist to test her strength level. It's 6:30 at night and I just called her nurse to make sure that she had her physical therapy date today because when I left at 1:30 we have not seen physical therapy and the hospitalists that we have now she just could not care less. If they ever assigned you Brafford......request someone else. She's in it for the money..... not because she cares at all. I was just informed that the physical therapist saw her on November 27th so that would have to work. Today is December 2nd and they were going to see her today to see how strong she was to see if she could come home. She's becoming very discouraged because she does want to come home as she's only been in there nine days. Because she is 89 years old they automatically think that she has no sense. They somehow don't think that they can get or order a CPAP or a BiPAP machine while she is in the hospital and have it at her house when she gets home. Although I've spoke with a couple of people over at the other Hospital and they can somehow arrange it. I think I chose the wrong Hospital. This was my mistake. We are totally totally totally disappointed in tmh. We really really thought this was the hospital for Tallahassee and we were so disappointed last year when the ambulance took her to Capital Regional. From now on, take us to Capital Regional. When the darn doctor will not even listen to you about the medicines and four days out from telling you the kidney function is good when they said that's what they were waiting on to return her back on requip and she's not back on requip yet. This is totally asinine. But I will be at the hospital tomorrow and I am going to ask to speak to someone that's over that floor. We're going to nurse manager or CEO I don't care. If you're going to bill us for care that we received at the hospital then you better start putting something out there. Room 4417
I walked in to inquire on the price of a walk-in as I was just coming down from an anxiety attack. A woman absentmindedly said "$200" never looking away from her computer or inquiring about my insurance. I said I couldn't afford that today and tried to leave. The doors were locked and I asked if they could buzz me out. They said no. I asked why and they told me I HAD to see a doctor(I wasn't crying or anything, I was literally just taking a walk by the building and stopped by). I told them no, that's not what I want to do since I can't afford it. The woman said that wasn't her problem. I had to call the police and have an officer speak with this woman at reception to let me out. The dark, concrete waiting room is depressing, the staff is cruel, the company is all about their money. They would have held me against my will for $200. Whatever happened to Do No Harm?

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
