List of Thomas Oliver's Reviews
Dr Oliver may have saved my life. His urgent push to operate on me last year likely saved my life. He has operated on me twice. Each time was a great relief to my pain.
While have had medical issues that Dr. Oliver helped resolve, my main experience is through service he provided to my wife. He goes to great lengths to explain problems and issues that relate them. He is especially attentive to reviewing treatment options which is important to the notion of making informed choices. English is the third language of my wife making communications that are difficult between Dr.s and patients especially challenging. He does not speak in “medicaleeze” or medical acronyms. He works to explain. Far too many medical professionals could learn from Dr. Oliver.
Dr. Oliver did my carpal tunnel surgery. I found him to be personable and knowledgeable. His expertise changed my life!
Too many bad points to list. I will never go back to Dr Thomas Adam Oliver for anything. His staff is very unprofessional.
I would not recommend. His bedside manner is appalling. When you deal with patients in constant pain, and you treat them like they are "wasting your time" and use other choice words you are less than professional.
He is the last neurosurgeon I would ever return to. He admitted me to TMH, came in the next morning and told me there was nothing he could do for me. Wanted to send me to pain management and physical therapy. We decided to get a second opinion, went to Dr. McNeal in Dothan Alabama, was admitted to the hospital and had surgery within 26 hours. I now have pins and rods in my back and am pain free. Best Doctor and staff ever. So if I had done what he said I'd be addicted to pain killers and still suffering to the point of not being able to walk.
The best!
Dr Oliver is wonderful. He is professional and caring with his patients. My husband and I have been in the medical field for over 30 yrs and have dealt with many physicians and as for Dr Oliver he is amazing. He saved my husbands life. He answers all questions honestly and doesn’t play games. His bedside manner is awesome and takes the time to explain everything on a level that everyone can understand. I highly recommend Dr. Oliver.
Had a CTS/Ulnar nerve surgery done on my right arm, continued numbness and pain. I ended up in the ER the night after surgery. He had said nerves take a year following surgery to heal. I took his advice and scheduled the same surgery for the left arm. This surgery I was in extreme pain post-op. He would approve for additional pain relief and told my mother "She is too young to understand pain" I have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. I ended up in the ER the 2nd surgery, admitted to TMH with infection.
Very intelligent with a great sense of humor. He diagnosed me with a sacroiliac joint injury in a matter of minutes, and did a great job repairing with a fusion surgery!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
