List of Wendy Thompson's Reviews
Dr. Thompson was my primary care physician for several years. I found a new doctor after overhearing comments she made to the nirse about me while I was waiting in the exam room to see the doctor. The nurse was trying to explain to Dr. Thompson why I was there and what she had determined during her initial assessment. Dr. Thompson seemed angry and dismissive. The nurse came back into the exam room and was flustered yet trying very hard to maintain a professional demeanor. I told her that I had heard what was said by the doctor outside the room and that I felt belittled and as if Dr. Thompson had dismissed my needs. I left without seeing Dr. Thompson that day and have not returned. Her nurse and front office staff were wonderful that day--they voided the charge to my credit card for that appointment's co-pay.
Excellent
First and foremost, I'd like to clarify that I have no issues with Dr. Thompson, herself. She is kind, considerate and knowledgeable, and took the time to answer all of my questions. However, the poor communication and unprofessional nature of her support staff led me to find another doctor. When I first contacted Dr. Thompson's office to set up a new patient appointment, I had to reach out three times over the course of several weeks in order to have the new patient paperwork sent to me. This should have been a red flag. Several months later I needed to have an immunization verification form signed in order to sign up for a class at FSU. What should have been a quick signature turned into a drawn out ordeal in which my emails inquiring about the status of the form went unanswered, and I ultimately had to show up to the office when it opened in the morning to obtain the form. While the receptionist apologized and chalked it up to the office being short staffed, the fact that I reached out on five separate occasions to remind her about the form before coming into the office myself leads me to believe otherwise.
Excellent care, easy to talk to, very straightforward
Office is unresponsive in communicating results from tests or updating records to the correct patient. Calls not returned. No one answers phone. Wait times are excessive considering there are hardly any patients. Incomplete exams and general lack of genuine care for patients. Why is this office even still open? Very disappointing and definitely not a provider to consider. Came highly recommended but something is so off with the entire practice, if you have a serious health concern, go elsewhere.
Great Doctor and Great Staff
Dr. Thompson is a knowledgeable doctor; however the office is highly inefficient, to the point where I am switching to a different primary care physician. Multiple times it has taken over three days to schedule a simple appointment; I now have an urgent matter and have not been able to make contact with anyone yet.
I was scheduled an appointment ,and get to my appointment no record of my appointment .This is very unprofessional . I will not be returning ..
I have been with Dr Thompson for many years and like her but Nicole, the so called nurse is beyond professional and must have her hands in the drug closet . She can't call in the right meds or not call them in at all, no return calls, let's you go for days without maintenance meds, ignores emails on the portal and then doesn't forward to dr. Have told Thompson but still the same . Maybe after filing a complaint with department of health for patient neglect she will wake up . Apparently dr Thompson doesn't care .
Dr. Wendy Thompson is an exception physician. Very knowledgeable and caring. However, her front-of-the-house staff is hopeless. I was told I had a balance when I came for one of my appointments. Because of the type of insurance I have I should never have a balance that I'm responsible for. I pay my copay each time I'm seen. I've been receiving erroneous bills for a visit last year. I keep being told that the person that handles that (N.) will call me back. N. never calls me back. The receptionist says, "well it hasn't gone to Collections yet, right?" I told her that "it better not." I don't understand why such a great doctor would risk losing patients because of a trifling, uncooperative, lazy staff.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
