I like Dr. Castro and staff. I completely dislike the call center that takes their calls. Terribly inconvenient when you need and want to speak directly to the office. No bueno

I changed doctors looking for a more personalized atention following my wife advice, today I received everything but, had early appointment 8:15 and left the office at 9:50 without been seen, patients that arrived later were admitted before me, in addition, my wife has been trying to call for an appointment and been unable to get thru on the phone, asked me to get an appointment in person for her. I was told they only take medicare now and the office manager would need to decide if she can or not get an appointment again, well I think if you guys want to dispose of her as a patient you should at least give her a call and explain the situation to her, im sure she would understand, I dont think the way to go is not taking or returning her calls and have her find out she is no longer a patient this way. I would give u 0 stars but google did not allow it. Sad thing Dra Castro that she has such a high opinion of yourself...

I LOVE DR CASTRO AND HER OFFICE STAFF BUT SINCE SHE HAS GONE TO CANO GROUP, I CAN'T SPEAK DIRECTLY TO THE OFFICE STAFF WHEN I CALL THE OFFICE NUMBER. I AM ON HOLD FOR OVER AN HOUR AND THE PERSON ANSEWERING THE PHONE NEVER COMPLETES THE TASK. THE RECORDING IS MOST ANNOYING ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU NEED TO SPEAK TO SOMEONE IMMEDIATELY. I LIVE IN DADE CITY FL AND HER OFFICE IS IN TAMPA FL AN HOUR AWAY FROM ME SO IT IS NOT CONVENIENTTO RUN TO THE OFFICE TO TAKE CARE OF MY CONCERNS. DR CASTRO DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU HAVE GAINED FROM MOVING TO THIS GROUP BUT YOUR PATIENTS ARE SUFFERING, I AM DEFINATELY CONSIDERING TRANSFERRING TO ANOTHER DOCTOR CLOSER TO ME, I NEVER HAD THIS PROBLEM UNTIL YOU MOVED TO THIS CANO GROUP. THE ONLY REASON I HAVE STAYED FOR OVER 15 YEARS IS BECAUSE OF THE DOCTOR AND THE STAFF WE ARE LIKE FAMILY BUT THIS CANO GROUP IS TERRIBLE.

I'm writing on behalf of my mother Sonia, who had a very unpleasant and unprofessional experience with this office. On February 4th, she called to book an appointment and was abruptly cut off and was told to call the following Monday because the receptionist "did not have the time" to book the appointment for her right then and there. My mother despite feeling shrugged off, she promptly called the following Monday because she desperately wanted and needed an appointment to get her knee check out. Monday came around and she was met with another excuse from the receptionist and was told to call another day throughout the week because "they were busy". My mom called once more, and instead of being met with empathy and apology at the fact it took my mother three separate phone calls to simply book an appointment she was met with a curt, " We don't have any appointments until August." My mother although upset, booked her appointment for 6 months later. It is now August 16 and my mothers appointment would have been in two days on August 18th. She received a phone call and the same receptionist asked if she would still like her appointment in which my mother dumbfounded, who had been waiting 6 months to see this doctor, responded with yes. The receptionist then responded that they would need to reschedule because the doctor would be out of office for a week. My mother understanding then asked when they would rescheduled to, in which she was told at the end of September or beginning of October. My mother who had already been waiting 6 months was now told she'd have to wait another month for an appointment. The office either doesn't want clients or the receptionist is just terrible at her job. Its very ridiculous and unprofessional that my mother after waiting 6 months was not given priority to rescheduled an appointment over something that was out of her control. For a doctors office they have terrible customer service, not to mention there was NO language barrier considering the receptionist and my mother were both speaking in fluent Spanish. My poor mother has now not only wasted 6 months of her time but is now in worse pain and has to start this whole process again with another office because this one has lost ALL credibility.
