Albert Chen's Online Review Report Card

I love doctor Chen he was always happy when he saw me and he had me do weekly visits for my son because he was a little small. The last day of my visit my son wasn't moving 15 times in a 30 min span so they delivered him early at 36 weeks. I was so grateful. They do this to prevent still born babies when the doctor feels like something isn't right or moms health isn't the best. I'm so grateful that he was on top of things. My son was born a beautiful healthy baby boy and I am so happy to this day. Thank you Dr Chen. With Gods help you saved my babies life.

Unprofessional. They forward all their calls to an answering service and you can't get through to their office even when they told you to call them. Unacceptable. It's one thing when the office is on lunch or after hours but during regular business hours you should not have to leave a message.

THE WORST DOCTOR IN TOWN i start seeing him on my first trimester right after i found out that i got pregnant and she was around 8 weeks. Firstly, As you know, being a prenant woman, we need to take a lot of vitamins specially iron; but he didn't recommend me to take anything until i was 30 weeks ( is he a good doctor?????? ) Secondly, during the pregnancy time, my test got abnormal result ( i could be a first stage of cancer base on the abnormal result) and his nurse called to tell me about the result; also saying on the next appointment the doctor will take more tests about that. However, on the day of my appointment, he asked me Why you were here ?? i explained him that my result came out abnormal, and your nurse said you will look more details today. He looked at me like oh really ??? how come ??? okay next time i will do it, but not today Thirdly, on the weeks of 29 he sent me to the lab for the blood test and the result came out that i got diabetes during pregnancy. Usually, the lab will send the result to the original doctor who request the test. From the day he sent me to lab until i see him again was 4 weeks and nobody from his office either called to tell me about that nor tell me you should stop eating sugar things. I WAS 33 Weeks of pregnancy and close to my due date. I wish i could know earlier, so i would watch out what i eat to avoid anything happen to my baby. HE SHOULD NOT BE A DOCTOR DO NOT PUT YOUR RISK ON HIM

Please save your time and energy do not come to this place! Dr.Chen was the most rudest doctor had zero to no patience!I went in for some work and was not very clear on what my results were.. when I tried to ask to speak with Dr.Chen he told the front desk person his time was done with me! Umm first of all I came here to seek answers and he just was not clear with anything he was saying. Look elsewhere not this place he is not a Doctor!!

the worst !!!! Receiptionist and doctor are the worst ! Don't waste your time. All they need is money, and don't care about patients. As the first time of pregnancy, all i need is about thier experiences and recommendations, but every appointment he is always late and it does take less then 10'. Very regret to come here !

I was charged a lot of money(few hundreds with insurance) and nothing was done. It was only 5 min talking, and they ask to reschedule an appointment which is in 2-3 weeks. I ask to get my money back since literally no work or service was done. The doctor went very rude "you can ask me one more question only" and when I ask about the price, he got very defensive and rude, and just left without saying anything. Now question is this a normal behavior for a doctor? We have paid and cancelled any further work with them. Currently informing our insurance of the situation. +update : I talked to insurance, insurance talked to them, and I got refunded.

My review is in regards to the office manager, Vicky. I called when I went on maternity leave last week and gave them my information over the phone to submit my disability claim. They charged me $20 and told me they would hand this info to Vicky to submit since she's the only one who has access. I went in at the end of the week and it was still not submitted because she only goes in when she wants to. She "works from home". If she were working from home, she could've done this FROM HOME! 8 days later, several phone calls later, all they can tell me is they'll text her about it. Still no assurance of when she will come in to submit my claim. Who knows how long I will have to go without income because of her! This is very unprofessional and I'll definitely be making a scene at my next appointment in two days. I expect my money back! No other Dr's office charge for this.

Can't say anything good about this man. I was his prenatal patient and he scared me so (unnecessarily) bad. He told me I was at risk for preterm labor, which after checking with another OB and a prenatal specialist was NOT true, and that I had to go to the hospital IMMEDIATELY because he thought I was having contractions even though he didn't do an ultrasound. He literally walked in, told me to go to the labor and delivery department at Torrance memorial (when I was 18 weeks, they only accept patients 20 weeks and over). It felt like he was pawning me off for no discernible reason just because he didn't want to do the fucking ultrasound. I go over and they tell me I can't be seen (understandably, I knew they only accepted patients after 20 weeks) and then Dr. Chen calls me to tell me to come back to his office where he proceeds to do an ultrasound where he measures my cervix at a VERY LONG 5.9cm. The first question out of his mouth was "do you know how early a baby can be born for it to survive?" What kind of fucked up question is that to start off with after an ultrasound. There is absolutely no reason to be cryptic as an OB.

Dr Chen is truly an amazing doctor! My first pregnancy ended up in a miscarriage. When I got pregnant again and was looking for an OBGYN, no doctor would see me unless I was at least 10 weeks along. I was having complications again and was almost 8 weeks pregnant. I finally came across Dr Chen's office and was the only doctor that would take me in at 8 weeks pregnant. Dr Chen guided me through my high risk pregnancy and delivered my daughter. He did the same for my 3rd pregnancy and delivered my son. I am forever grateful for everything Dr Chen has done for me and my babies. I truly believe if it weren't for him, I wouldn't have my 2 kids today. He is very knowledgeable, has a lot of experience and truly cares about you. He is the best OBGYN! His staff is pretty amazing also. They are very nice and helpful, not rude like some other doctor's office that I've dealt with. I'm so thankful to have found Dr Chen!

Dr. Chen has been an amazing OB and I can't thank him and his staff enough for everything. I was referred here by a friend to see Dr. Djarpi at first, but I don't think she was available at the time and my husband and I have worked with Dr. Chen since the beginning. He is awesome! Very patient, understanding, and always willing to hear your questions. I had a few complications with my pregnancy but Dr. Chen was very on top of my condition to prevent further complications. He kept reassuring me that I would have a natural birth (despite my weight and certain medication conditions) and I surely did. I am so grateful for Dr. Chen and his staff. Thank you so much!
