Will never allow this Dr. to operate on me again. Almost killed me the 1st time. Made surgical errors but never documented his mistake. New surgeon is appalled at Dr K's lack of professionalism. TGH no better.

This Dr. Killed my son mark in Philadelphia At temple university.

First off, although these things shouldn’t matter, Dr Karachristos was so caring and compassionate when it came to dealing with my grandmother. That’s not indicative of a great surgeon but it made my grandmother happy and that made me happy. I only saw one review online here so I had to dig deeper after already hearing his name once because I did get worried. Per a recommendation of a friend in the medical field, I ended up on Linkedin (of all places) scanning for people in the Tampa area and started to message nurses and reps within that speciality. I heard his name enough to know he was the right surgeon for my family. Without getting too into the weeds about the type of surgery, my grandmother is fragile and was not doing so well and not completely “there” for lack of a better word. I was terrified for her to go under. In the end, everything went perfectly. I cannot thank Dr Karachristos enough for what he did for me and my family. He saved all of our lives. ❤️

November 11, 2021 Dr. K did a Whipple surgery on me. I had multiple complications, none were the fault of Dr. K. Thanks to Dr. K I will be celebrating 1 year, cancer free. He is a talented surgeon who is also the most compassionate doctor I’ve ever met.

Dr. Karachristos saved my mother's life. My mother was diagnosed with cholangiocarcinoma, which is a rare bile duct cancer, no effective treatment other than a resection of bile duct and only 20% are operable. When Johns Hopkins and U Penn declared my mother as inoperable. I was lucky to have found Dr. Karachristos , practicing at Fox Chase who was willing to operate as long as my mother understood the risks. The surgery was 8-hours and my mother recovered beautifully. He treated my mother with kindness prior to surgery, during and post. We never mind the 2-hour drive to Cottman Ave for post-op visits because he was worth the trip.

7/22/19 Today we celebrate my Husband David's 8th year of waking up after his life saving surgery from his terminal Cancer diagnosis. Each year of being Cancer free is a celebration. Thank you and a good review just doesn't seem to be enough to the Team of Doctors at Temple who saved David's life. Dr. Gibas who found the Cancer, Dr. Karachristos who performed the 9 + hours surgery, Dr. Munoz, " The Wizard" his Anethesiaologist and a great Nursing staff. After being told by the doctors at Hershey Cancer center in Lancaster, PA that there was nothing that they could do and he should get his affairs in order to expect about a year to live. We were devastated since he had no signs or symptoms of illness, this diagnosis left us empty and shocked. We gathered ourselves, Then David faced a second opinion and surgery with great strength and courage. Today we are feeling very grateful for the added years.

I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Karachristos! He is a very gifted surgeon and a very caring physician. Coupled together he is a wonderful doctor and a terrific human being. So grateful we found him.

You will find NO Better Doctor then this man! I’m so very greatful!!! Thank you Dr Karacrostos for my life FREE of Pancreatic Cancer!!

My mom had a surgery with Dr. Karachristos. We are extremely happy with him. The surgery went better than we expected. He did such a great job and recovery was quick for that big of a surgery. He is an amazing person and cares about his patients. He is always available if you need him. He is very knowledgeable in what he does and gives the best advice.

I saw Dr Karachristos at Fox Chase for the first time on July 28th 2016.He spent a lot of time with me !And He told me I had a neuroendocrine tumor on my pancreas and it was cancerous! it was 2 cm. He spoke to me about having Whipple surgery it's serious surgery. I was Scared ! But,I wanted to go through it so it wouldn't spread. I had my surgery on Oct 28,2016. it went Very Well! because I had the Best surgeon Dr K who is Very intelligent!,caring! Doctor! Best Expeirence,Best Hospital 11 Stars!
