The life changing services that Dr. Kalava offers combined with the professionalism and competency of himself and his staff has given me relief for the first time in many years. I have suffered for years from endometriosis and interstitial cystitis and have tried everything, including a laparoscopic procedure, however, was unable to find relief. As well, I have struggled with C-PTSD and have had little success in treating this complicated illness. However the Stellate ganglion block shot has changed my life and my ability to function normally and emotionally regulate. The empathy and understanding that Dr.Kalava displays as well as his staff was paramount in making me feel comfortable, confident, and well informed when getting the shot and has been something that has improved my quality of life. I am very grateful to Dr.Kalava and his staff and highly recommend his method of treatment for anyone who suffers from chronic pelvic pain or PTSD and has struggled to find answers and effective treatment.

I drive from Orlando to Tampa to see Dr. Kalava because of his compassion and his success in helping patients living with pain. If I had to swim across the Atlantic to see Dr. Kalava, I'd put on my Hulk arm floaties and kick my way across! Awesome doctor! If you suffer with debilitating pain and want to get off all those medications that are killing people, Dr. Kalava will figure it out and do what needs to be done to help you find relief. He helped me and I'm off most of my medications now! Dr. Arun Kalava is a gem!!! HE IS A TRUE MIRACLE WORKER and I would give him a huge hug if he wouldn't be offended. My wife gets offended when I hug her.

I had Cryoanalgesia performed back in 2021. I noticed a twitter post was made stating that I had been pain free after 7 years and we’d see how long it lasted. No follow up post was made and the rhetoric seemed as though I was pain free. I attempted to comment on the post itself but was unable to. I just wanted it to be noted that once all numbing agents wore off, all of my existing pain returned..with additional pain and sensitivity.

I’m not completely done with my treatment, almost! But not quite. I had ketamine infusion therapy for relief from depression. This is the most mind-bending, perspective-shifting, deep-thinking and reflective treatment I could have ever imagined. I came from a place of deep sadness and hopelessness to a place of confidence and understanding in a short period of time. I think all of humanity would benefit from ketamine therapy. This has been my experience…Dr .Kavala and his staff are professional, knowledgeable, and compassionate. I’m so glad I have this group of people to help me find myself again and reconnect with humanity.

Dr. Kalava has shown compassion and established a plan to manage my pain. He has given me hope when I honestly had given up. I am so thankful that I found this clinic and a doctor who is willing to go beyond opioids like every other pain doctor seems to rely on. The clinic is clean, professional staff, and the most compassion I have received from a doctor.

For six years I suffered episodic, likely MS related, burning stabbing pounding dagger-like pain, level 9-10 on the pain scale. Several specialists told me it was something I’d have to live with. I had all but given up, my pain was most likely from the pudental nerve, and basically untreatable. On my very first visit, Dr Kalava diagnosed the correct nerve and gave me a local block, that completely eliminated my pain for several hours! A first! We couldn’t find anything that lasted longer than 48 hours. After a five hour episode of level 10 pain landed me in the ER on a Thursday, he saw me on Friday, set me up with a unique indwelling abdominal catheter that delivered ropivicaine directly to the nerve and then got an incredibly busy surgeon to schedule nerve resection on Tuesday!. He’s always gone the extra mile and never gave up on me. I call Dr Kalava my own personal miracle worker. I wish all doctors were as dedicated as he is to solving the problem!
