I have been under Dr McIver’s treatment since he first arrived at Moffitt after leaving the Mayo Clinic. He’s overseen two of my surgeries and a round of radiation treatment. I have been seeing him every six months for I believe five or six years and I could not ask for a more empathetic, and intelligent physician to oversee my care. If you are seeking the best of the best for thyroid based cancer, there is no one else I could recommend more highly than Dr McIver.

Dr. McIver is great. He is thorough and kind. I only had a few abnormal cells and he was able to gather some during the first biopsy. His team is very efficient and they were able to get the results while I waited in the office. I had thyroid cancer. Once we decided on treatment, surgery, I was scheduled for the procedure the following Friday. I had yearly checkups for 5 years and now am officially Cancer Free.

I have been a patient for almost three years. Dr McIver is extremely knowledgeable and throughly explains all treatment options. He has been supportive of my decision for active surveillance of my thyroid nodule and I trust his judgement. Highly recommend him and Moffitt

Dr.McIver I sent personable, professional, and incredibly intelligent. I wouldn’t trust anybody to manage my metastatic thyroid cancer except him.

Dr. McIver is an expert in his area. He is very knowledgable and I would highly recommended him. He managed my treatment for cancer and helped make me stronger today. He also cares about his patients and takes time to ensure you understand the details. He helps the patient and the family understand what to expect in the process. If you are lucky to have him as your Dr. you are blessed!

By far the most unprofessional specialist I've ever dealt with. Wait time to see new patients is 2.5 months. After your first visit, don't expect any follow-ups with him, you'll end up seeing an ARNP (Nancy Roehnelt). Who is ever far more unprofessional than him, she came to my appt 30 mins late, didn't know how to adjust my medications and argued with me that a medication didn't exist in a long acting form (Inderal)...what?! And I'm a pharmacist! Don't waste your time going to this practice.
