myname is Carroll Kilgore an I had cancer plastic surgery on my nose on may 07 2020 at Moffitt an I am doing great an I am 87 yrs old an Dr Cruse was very kind an sweet .Ii did fine an their is hardly a scar an I had a 3 inscision. he did a flap over of skin an ididnt even take any drugs after praise the lord above. crk

I traveled to Moffit for Dr. Cruse to do my surgery from the Midwest and I am happy I did so. His approach was thorough and professional and the result is outstanding. The entire team at Moffit was exceptional and if you need his services you will be well served by Dr. Cruse

I traveled to Moffit from Indiana for reconstruction of an unfortunately located upper lip squamous cell carcinoma. Dr. Cherpelis dermatology did a Mohs resection on Thursday and Dr. Cruse did the surgical reconstruction the next day. It has done beautifully and I was treated with firstclass professionalism and respect throughout. The other treatment options I was offered elsewhere would not have resulted in the complete excision I received and I am flabergasted at how well it has turned out. Dr. Cruse deserves the highest recommendation. I am surprised to see some reviews here that are negative. Perhaps some of those patients are looking for a glib bedside manner when what they really should want is a professional that will do the job well and will put their interests above his own.

I was referred to Dr. Cruse for a cancerous lesion on my eye. At my 1st visit Dr. Cruse never even addressed me. Instead he asked the resident doctor questions about me. At my next visit for a review of test results he never answered my questions. When I asked him what does that mean he said I dont know. At one point he even told me Im not a real doctor He was being a jerk when he said it however it was a very unprofessional thing for a doctor to tell a cancer patient.

Very focused and conscientious doctor. He is pleasant but a bit lacking in bedside manner which many patients value more highly than actual medical skills. Since he deals with cancer patients and burn victims I think their expectations of the final result may be unrealistically high.

After being given a grave preop acessment of how my surgery was going to leave me a droopy lip and trouble keeping liguids in your mouth by the first surgeon I consulted at Shands in GainesvilleI am very thankful I checked with Moffitt in Tampa and Dr. Cruse. I have had the misfortune of needing 3 melanoma surgeries but I will not consider any other Dr. than Dr. Cruse. I have to point out the scars to people most do not even notice and I am happy to report I have no trouble at all keeping liquids in my mouth. Dr. Cruse gets my highest rating
