I was athletic my whole life. Was told by this idiot that I needed a bypass operation. I had the surgery a month later at Tampa General. Thirty minutes after surgery almost bled to death, was rushed back in to stop the bleeding they caused, Was in the hospital a total of three weeks. Five months after the surgery I had a episode of chest pain and went to the University of Miami and had a repeat heart cath only to find out my bypass graphs were totally dried up because I never needed a bypass surgery in the first place. He is very nice doctor he took very good care of me.i like him alot he did my heart transplant n my heart pump.top 1 heart transplant doctor.i wish he stayed at Tampa General hospital.i miss him.

I had a Mitral Valve repair surgery on July 25 2022 by Dr Caldeira at Largo Medical Center. I had a severe leak from my mitral valve. I was very nervous getting the surgery. There was no need to worry ,Dr. Caldeira and the team at Largo did an unbelievable job the surgery was a success and my recovery was much better than I expected. I would recommend anyone needing this surgery to use Dr. Caldeira .

Dr Caldeira performed surgery on me in April 2020. (This was at the height of the COVID outbreak) I had an ascending aortic dissection. I would not be alive today otherwise. I will be forever thankful that I was fortunate enough to have him assigned to my case when I came through the emergency dept. I was naturally very frightened to learn of my diagnosis. What comforted me at that point was that all of my physicians and nurses at the Largo Medical Center could not say enough good things about Dr Caldeira. It has been a year now and I am doing fairly well. We are truly blessed to have this expert surgeon in the Tampa Bay, Florida area. Thank you

Dr. Caldeira performed surgery on me in 2016 for Hypertrophic Obstructive Cardiomyopathy (HOCM), also replacing the Aortic valve and the Mitral valve. He literally saved my life. May God continue to guide his hands and Bless him forever. V.Hovater

Can not rate this doctor high enough. He is compassionate, does not have a ego like most doctors. He did open heart surgery on me for a valve repair almost 15 years ago, i dont even have a scar anymore, could not recommend him and his team and higher than i already do. He is the only person i would trust working on my heart! Bar none!

I had aortic valve replacement surgery about 3 1/2 years ago. Surgery and recovery went very well. Dr. Caldeira and his staff were attentive and caring.

Best doctor and heart team in the entire Tampa Bay area. I had triple by pass and was out of the hospital in 4 days. No complications at all, no real chest pain, sewed me up very nice--hardly a scar. I wouldn't have any other doctor touch my heart. Michael Baccich
