List of Cynthia Bailey's Reviews
Dr.Bailey is a retailer...period! I had been a patient of hers for years and a faithful purchaser of her skin products. As soon as she became an internet retailer things changed. I had a valid complaint that was never addressed after two emails to her site. Recently I purchased a product, at $102, after her exit from the practice she briefly joined. I mentioned to the staff that the bottle didn't have the orange stripe at the bottom like my recent one and questioned whether it was stale-dated. The answer was that they were sure it was fine. It was dark colored and gritty when I tried to use it, and made my skin dry and rough. I eventually purchased a new bottle from her site: Orange stripe stripe on bottle and product was silky and smooth. On attempting to return the old product they were told, after consulting Dr. Bailey, no returns. The office, now disassociated with Dr. Bailey, apologized and nicely refunded my money. Dr. Bailey was an excellent dermatologist with a committed staff. She is now a retailer committed to the bottom line. I agree with another comment: Find another place to buy your products.
Buyer beware. What everyone should know is that the product is a white label and can be found a number of places, including California Skin Institute. You can find other distributors by googling the name of the product without Bailey's name. Nonetheless I wanted to support a local business so went here anyway. Several of their products work well for me, so I decided to try their glycolic cleanser. However when I got home I realized what they gave me was not the cleanser I asked for. I tried it anyway, but it didn't work for me. Went back to exchange it and they refused. If I'm going to get unapologetic subpar service, I might as well take the more convenient route and not go out of my way just to support this business. After all, why should I love someone who doesn't love me back? Disappointed.
Since Dr. Bailey seems to have vanished from the face of the planet I have been trying to get my medical records sent to me with no luck. I was told to contact the surgery center which I have but have not heard back. Very disappointing to be dropped like this.
This is a review for online products/services. Is there a secret phone number or email that only a select few have access too? I've called and sent an email numerous times inquiring about a product that is out of stock. No one picks up the phone, and no one has replied to my email (yes, I filled out the Contact Form). I just would like to know a guesstimate as to when they'll get some more. My daughter and I really love her products, but customer service is awful. We would prefer to keep purchasing her products, but if we can't get an answer on inventory then we'll have to search again somewhere else.
Beware that it is nearly impossible to return products that did not work for you. You are required to get an authorization number and only have 14 days to do so. If they never return an email or answer the phone, you are left with expensive products that you can't use. I will never order from this company again which is unfortunate because I really liked one of the products I ordered.
This is a great doctor. Unfortunately, I am giving one star because this office had a sub par response to my urgent need. I contacted them with an urgent need to see the doctor for a growth on my skin, I was offered an appointment more than a month away. This spot has grown to the size of a half of pencil eraser in a month as it is, and that doesn't matter to this office about getting me in faster! Yikes. Heading to primary care in hopes that they can figure something out.
I feel like Dr. Bailey saved my life! I went in for my regular check up, I go every six months because I have fair skin and love the sun. I wanted to ask her about some superficial stuff, but before I could, she walked into the room and went right to this little melanoma on my chest. I never would have even asked her about this little tiny mark. She saw it immediately and went into action right away, took care of it in the office and then got me into UCSF within a week after that. It's really hard to trust anyone else when you've been cared for by Dr. Bailey.
Business must be too good to pick up the phone, or to even to bother to return a phone call when I left a message. No worries... there are other dermatologists with much better customer service.

Reviewing her online products. I ordered an assortment of chemo skin care products online and was only given the option of 2 day or express shipping. I chose the cheaper - 2 day but it was still over $12. I ordered the products on Friday and assumed they would ship Monday. They did, but as of Thursday at 1:30 I still haven't received them. I emailed the company asking for a refund of my shipping costs and was completely blown off by Sarah. She finally told me I would have to take it up with USPS. Not great customer care! She never even attempted to help me solve the problem. Not sure how much I will love the products...if I ever get them.UPDATE: Changing from 2 stars to 4: A few hours after this post I received an email from the company apologizing for the email correspondence and that they would gladly refund my shipping. All and all it was very sincere and the products did arrive today. Classy apologies go a long way.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
