Dr Jurusz is Awesome. He’s kind, pleasant, he doesn’t rush you, he comes in and sit down and talk with you. He doesn’t treat you like, your a number but a human being. The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, his staff is no different.

Went in for a collapsed lung and broken foot and really felt welcomed. He seems to really care about his patients and gives real advice as opposed to other doctors who seem to give a general view. While I was hospitalized I would start off with a dad joke every time we spoke and he was always in great spirits during the conversation. Definitely recommend him as someone to see if you need help!

Dr. Jurusz is a great doctor. He performed emergency surgery on me due to a strangulated hernia and he did an incredible job. I highly recommend him as a Doctor and as a great human being as well.

I had another follow-up to discuss surgery with Dr. Jurusz for a small right sided inguinal hernia. He's a very pleasant man who was informative about the upcoming procedure, which I feel very confident about having under his care.

Dr. Daniel Jurusz saved my life by avoiding a wrong surgery suggested by emergency room doctor in St. Joseph hospital on july of 2018. The surgery was scheduled 7am for dr Jurusz to remove my gallbladder, he came in 1am, and ordered additional testing, he said the pain level and some symptoms don’t match the gallbladder infection, later he found out that even though I was relatively young, fit, and healthy I was suffering from a diverticulitis In the most unusual place on my stomach, upper right instead of more common lower left. He started the treatment and I was out of the hospital in one week, with no surgery at all. Dr. Jurusz is smart, professional, with an excellent bedside manner.

The doctor spent 5 mins or less with me didn't look at test results before saying I didn't need surgery...he said my symptoms were of my inflammatory bowel disease, not gallbladder. He said they dont take out gallbladders until- well he described the symptoms I had with appendicitis when I had emergency surgery (by a different doctor) I sought a second opinion because my gut instinct and opinions from a friend suggested otherwise and I'm getting my gallbladder removed...by another surgeon. Likely will never see another Baycare doctor unless I end up at Mease by ambulance. Mease is actually the hospital that told me I had an issue with my gallbladder when I went in for excruciating pain- which my new surgeon says was caused by gall stones/sludge passing through. Can't say weather or not this doctor is a good surgeon but he made a huge mistake that I believe was intentional. Once you're symptomatic you need surgery. It's not smart to wait until your gallbladder or pancreas get infected. I don't know what he was thinking.
