Many years too late but I feel I have to post this regardless. Dr. Alvarenga took care of my husband who was a lung transplant patient. The doctors at Tampa General wanted to put him on the list for a double lung Because the single lung he received at UPMC was not working. Dr. Alvarenga did her hardest to try and get him on this list. Unfortunately he was spilling too much protein and would not have survived the operation. Dr Alveranga is one of the best doctors we had the pleasure of dealing with. I would highly recommend her.

The Florida Kidney Physicians' office on North Lakeview Drive is amazing! Great customer care from the front office at check-in through check-out. I just love the care of Dr. Alveranga! She resolved my BP issues; highly professional and kind! The office is well-run and as you walk out the door you have a copy of your progress notes, lab prescription, and receipt. Dr. Alvaranga is tops in her field. I research doctors because I have had bad experiences in the past. Not only does Dr. Alvaranga have great credentials but she is caring as well. She explains everything completely and discusses alternative treatments.

I have been a patient of Dr. Alveranga's for almost 20 years. She has always been through in checking my labs and making sure I am on the correct medications. She is the best! I would definitely recommend her to my family and friends.

I received my new kidney 6 years ago. Dr. Alveranga was one of several doctors I saw pre-and post surgery. I will be forever grateful to her. During pre-surgery meeting she explained to me what to expect everyday post transplant. She was spot on with her description. I was prepared, knew what to expect, and was relaxed because of information she provided. Thank you.

The full service took over 2 hours. No stone was unturned. The staff was very helpful in many ways. The entire office needs to be larger, or some the stored boxes need another location.
