Eugene A Ward's Online Review Report Card

I was referred to Dr. Ward more that 11 years ago. He has performed 2 procedures for me. Outstanding JOB. He is very professional, knowledge and he has a great personality. As an African American male I am honored to have a doctor like Dr. Ward. Keep up the excellent work.

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Ward. In a nutshell, he is one of the most qualified physicians in the practice of gastroenterology in the Tampa Bay area. He is very patient oriented and truly cares about meeting the needs of his patients. Thorough and deliberate in my care, I always felt completely comfortable with him, and he always took the time to explain his professional evaluation of my case. Don’t be fooled by his humble and soft spoken manner. He’s simply the best in my opinion as one of his patients.

Gene has an excellent bed side manner, professional and one of the few doctors that truly cares. I highly recommend Dr. Gene Ward and his team. The best doctor in the bay area!

I would not recommend this doctor. I was really excited to find a black doctor to address my concerns. I was confident that he would help me get to the bottom of things, instead I was met with a lack of follow through. I called the office several times in an attempt to have my prescription sent over to the pharmacy and to this day it was never sent over. It has been 2 months later and I never received a response from Dr. Ward or his staff. I left voicemails and spoke to staff directly with hopes that they could resolve the matter. Instead I was questioned on what day and time I called. Does it matter? I was told directly by Dr. Ward “not to wait until the last minute requesting my prescription” at the time of my request I still had medication but obviously after 2 months I no longer have anymore. Needless to say I have sought a second opinion and I couldn’t be more happy with the care I received. Additional testing was ordered and I’m on the path to full recovery. If I would’ve continued with Dr. Ward the real issue would not have been addressed.

I absolutely love Dr. Ward. He is a great doctor does not stop until he figures out what is going on medical wise. Has great bed side manners, very soft spoken, he listens and spends the time he needs with you. Can’t say enough about him.

He is a wonderful doctor and great personality

I have had several colonoscopies by Dr. Ward and he is very nice and congenial. I am glad I found this doctor. He is highly ranked by some nurses as a fine doctor.

He has a very kind patient bedside manner. The office staff not always as much. Nurses at St Joseph recommended him and I wasn’t disappointed. He seems to be very thorough.

Dr. Ward is truly an expert in his field. Empathetic and listens to the patient concerns. Genuinely cares and concerned for his patients. Extremely knowledgeable and explains to where the patient undestands. Excellent bedside manner.

Had an my first appointment today. This man came in with an attitude and was very rude and condescending for most of the visit. Can’t even believe I allowed him to speak to me that way.
