I had a great experience here personally, the staff and doctor were excellent and I will be returning. My only complaint is that when I was in the lobby waiting for my appointment, an elderly woman (patient) asked for my assistance with completing her forms on the iPad provided by the front desk. She had accidentally locked herself out of the iPad, and I made the front desk aware that she had given me permission to assist her and that we needed help getting back into the forms. It was odd to me that they did not offer to assist the elder patient themselves. It was obvious that I was of no relation to this woman, yet they seemed a bit bothered and annoyed that she was having multiple user errors on this iPad. I’m assuming she had already asked for help after locking the iPad previously. I was called back for my appointment and I didn’t see anyone from the front desk offer to help her finish the forms. Maybe they did once I went back, but doesn’t seem likely. I hope that in the future the office offers printed versions of their forms for the elderly and non tech-savvy patients that can be scanned into their system or happily assist those that are having trouble.

After questioning a prior written prescription, I met with Dr. Lee and his assistant. As suspected, what was written was not what I needed. The assistant was so kind, thorough and took her time. The “this or this” is always so stressful because you want to see! They took there time and let me relax my eyes to get the very best results. Thank you Dr Lee and your amazing assistant. Forgive me as I do not remember her name.

After expending my money with this thieves, they called me to tell me that they don't work with my insurance. They're a Den of Thieves. Don't ever go there

Dr. Chis Donovan did my Lasik eye surgery in August of 2024. I have still been able to see very clearly from a distance, I had nearsightedness and an eye prescription of -1.25 and -1.50. I have not worn glasses or contacts for months because I do not need to. Dr. Chris Donovan showed professionalism and expertise when going in for a Lasik consultation to the follow-up appointments after getting Lasik eye surgery at the Brandon Surgery Center. I recommend Dr. Chis Donovan at the Florida Eye Specialist and Cataract Institute for Lasik eye surgery.

I have been a patient of Dr Lieb for a long time and followed him to Florida Eye Specialists & Cataract Institute now. Same excellent care and nice facility. The staff from check in through check out are very pleasant and respectful.

Called to request a new patient appointment this afternoon and after waiting 8 minutes for someone to answer the phone, was greeted by the receptionist who spoke very fast and with a heavy, hard-to-understand accent. I informed her I have Humana insurance for vision coverage and she wanted to know the specific name of the plan before proceeding. I informed her my card does not have a specific plan name, but I offered to give her my Member ID and Group # to see if she could pull up my plan, and she replied, "Can't you just call your insurance and find out the name of your plan?" Needless to say, I was extremely put off by her laziness, lack of professional communication skills, and unwillingness to help. I immediately called Bulls Eye Care next door to their office and was greeted by an extremely helpful receptionist who not only immediately answered my call, but was also able to easily look up my specific Humana plan simply using my name and DOB. Florida Eye Specialists, as a fellow physician, please get it together! Professional and knowledgeable front desk staff go a long way.
