I am a surgeon myself and Dr Grant Geissler took care of my son who developed acute appendicitis. Dr Geissler bedside manner is amazing and my son, who is 10 y old, felt at ease and comfortable having surgery. Dr Geissler made what could have been a difficult time a great experience.

Dr. Grant Geissler, MD at St Joseph’s Children’s Hospital is an amazing, caring and kind surgeon. My daughter was diagnosed with perforated appendicitis last Sunday and was transported to St. Joe’s. My family and I were extremely nervous when we were told that my loving 14-year old will have to have surgery to remove her appendix. Dr. Geissler came in and explained the procedure thoroughly to us. We knew what to expect before and after surgery. My daughter was really pleased that Dr. Geissler included her in the decision-making process. Thank you so much! I am forever grateful that you allow God to use you to save my baby’s life! Dr. Geissler is one of the most professional, caring, genuine and amazing physician I’ve ever met! Thank you for your awesome bedside manners!

I highly recommend Dr. Geissler! He walked us through all the steps of the surgery during our first visit. Before the surgery he talked to us again and I was sure my son was in great hands. After the surgery he answered all our questions and carefully explained all the next steps to my son's recovery. He was very kind and friendly all the time and did an amazing job. Thank you.

I met Dr. Geissler when I was 20 weeks pregnant, having just been told that my unborn baby would need surgery. Naturally, as a (1st time) mother, this was terrifying. I was told I was to meet with the best pediatric surgeon that St. Jo's Children had to offer, and I did. Dr. Geissler was incredible, relieving my fears, and helping put my family at ease. He completed a procedure right after my son's birth, and then an abdominal wall surgery just recently. Dr. Geissler's bedside manner is amazing, and his communication is the finest I've come by (and I speak as a health care professional myself). I have the upmost trust in Dr. Geissler, and I highly recommend him to anyone in need of a surgeon for their little one. I would trust him without question with the life of any child. We cannot thank him enough for what he has done for our son and family.

Dr. Grant Geissler, MD at St Joseph hospital in Tampa is amazing. My family went on vacation and our daughter had a really bad stomach ache and we took her to the ER and she was Diagnosed with Appendicitis. Dr. Grant acted quickly and took out the appendix. He’s great, he explains what he’s going to do before he does it in great detail and after surgery he explained how to deal with the surgery post op. Thank you so much, you saved my Daughters life. I will forever be thankful that it happened where there was a doctor so experienced. Thank you so much, I can’t say it enough.

Dr. Geissler not only has the best bedside manner I’ve ever experienced with a doctor but his skill is impeccable. My son was born in 2009 with birth defects that should have hindered his entire life & he had to go into surgery at 12 hours old (& had 3 following surgeries within his first 3 years of life with Dr. Geissler - I made sure of that) . My son, & our family, are blessed that Dr. Geissler was the pediatric surgeon on call when he was born. Dr. Geissler did such a marvelous job that my son can live a normal, functional life when many other patients with the same deformities have problems into their adulthood. I was a teen mother on Medicaid & scared for my son’s diagnosis & I cannot emphasize enough how patient & informative Dr. Geissler was with me; he made sure I understood how to care for my son post operatively. I could have not wished my son’s life in better hands. 12 years later & I still cannot think or speak about this man without tearing up. He’s an angel on earth.

After being refferred by Winter Haven Hospital for a emergency appendectomy at St. Joseph's Children's hospital. My wife and I were very nervous about the surgery. My son is 4 and this was the last thing we both wanted. Once introduced to Dr. Geissler our worries faded away. His calm and friendly conversation had my wife and I feeling we made the right decision choosing him. He sat post surgury with us both and took 15 minutes explaining the entire procedure. We are so thankful for his services, he truly made us feel like we where a priority and not just another number.

I brought my 5yr old daughter into St.. Josephs Children's Hospital with a belly pain that has been going on for 4 days. I got tired of going to useless places and upset because my daughter was in a very excruciating pain. Walked into the ER, once we got all the test and imaging results back we was told that my daughter had a ruptured apendix. They started her on antibiotics. The next morning my daughter has a surgery scheduled with Dr. Geissler. He was the most attentive and most professional surgeon I have ever met. He explained everything he was going to do in the surgery and in details. After surgery he explained how it went and what he did and what was the next step to my daughters recovery. After that day he came almost everyday to check up on my daughter. I was blessed to have such a great human being and such a talented surgeon to treat my daughter. He is one surgeon I will always trust to treat anyone of my children. Thank you! Dr. Geissler for saving my daughters life. God bless you for your great 🎁. We was blessed with his presence 🙏 ❤. Dr. Grant Geissler, I can’t thank you enough for all you did for us when my daughter was in the SJH Children’s Hospital ER in January 2021. You kindness, knowledge and expertise kept us calm as we were getting the diagnosis. The way that you spoke to my daughter and kept her part of the conversation of what the surgery would entail made her feel more comfortable and strong.
