I found myself needing double-bypass heart surgery this summer and Dr. Katlaps performed the surgery. I cannot say enough great things about his capabilities - surgery went very well and I have nearly fully recovered just in a couple months' time. Dr. Katlaps was great in making me fully aware of what my situation was necessitating the CABG (medical-professional speak for the bypass procedure). He is extremely knowledgeable and highly-skilled in his profession. I'm pleased to recommend him for any surgical procedure he routinely performs.

Dr. Katlaps is a brilliant phenomenal surgeon who put some fresh "new to me" lungs in me! His bedside manner is second to none and he is more than a competent surgeon he is a legend in his field! Forever grateful for this man and the entire transplant team at TGH! My recovery went smooth and the scar is very minimal (not that it matters 'cause I am ALIVE) Thank you DR. KATLAPS!! You rock!
